I think it’s more the removal of the release clause whereby if a club bid £1 over it we have to let him go there. There’s also one other problem. No other clubs are interested. Not one. Just Arsenal who won’t pay the money THEY DO HAVE, and they don’t have champions league anyway. Wilf can look at us and himself on that one. Those early months last season with the fouls and the ref thing probably put people off now he’s established and pricey. You can say he deserves his chance but nobody has at least come close to his value so there’s no deal to be done to let him go unfortunately for him. He also has a terrible team behind him. Yes you do Wilf if you’re reading this. They’re a joke of Klingons you need to get rid of. Looks like we are set for a cracking season. Clubs are interested in Wilf but no realistic offers to speak of, there is still time but it is running out fast.

If he had asked for a £40m release clause when he re signed, it would have been laughed at and given immediately. At that time, £30m would probably have worked. Wilf’s agent will be kicking himself. No chance. You think this time last year Parish would've agreed a 30-40m release clause?

Listening to the idiots on SSN regurgitating the same rubbish all day and then all night Arsenal this Arsenal that.... Wilf if you really want to test yourself get your team to get you into Europe via Bayern M. Sane doesn't look like he's on his way. That will save you travelling to some two Bob Eastern European club where the fans are so racist they play behind closed doors, because that's what Arsenal face. OR give your all this year at Palace, prove to everyone that £80m is a bargain and make yourself a must have with options.

Got a feeling he has missed the boat our Wilf . By his agent allowing sell on clause from Man Utd in his contract hence the inflated price . Only a small number of clubs willing to pay that amount. So think he we be here at least next Season. And SP knows that too. His agent isn't a factor in the sell-on clause. That was negotiated between us and Man U as part of his transfer fee

It would have been refused and he would not have got new contract. The whole point of the new contract was to remove the release clause. Wilf's agent knew this and so should have Wilf. Now it is meet our terms or he stays Edited by Palace in the Blood (24 Jul 2019 10.45am)

Speaking off Sky,there sources understand that Arsenal are coming back with a significantly higher bid in the hope it'll force us to sell. there's the words 'sources' and 'understanding' again! I see that the Everton owner's little pet b1tch, the slimey Jim White, is trying to stoke up rumours that Everton may be preparing a massive bid for Wilf.

Speaking off Sky,there sources understand that Arsenal are coming back with a significantly higher bid in the hope it'll force us to sell. Which is again laughable because there is no reason that we need to be 'forced to sell' - its pay or we no play!

If you had to take £65m or keep Wilf but he said he'd go on strike, what would you do? Keep him and refuse to pay his wages as he is not available to do his job. Then wait and see what he does when he starts getting unfit and unsaleable!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle I think we should set an ultimatum, it’s £80m offer by Saturday or else go away!! To Wilf, you say you want champion’s league football so why Arsenal? they are not in it and unlikely to be so in the near future.
