Whatever time it takes to get a new manager on board, please stop slaughtering Steve Parish. I would not trade him for any PL owner - never!! He IS Palace thru and thru....

Its is taking a long time but only Parish knows whats going on and what is causing delay. Incidentally a name flying under the radar a bit is Christophe Galtier, the ex St Etienne coach

Mirror reporting Southampton battle Palace for pellergino and weighing up a British coach or a foreign manager. It doesn't look like Southampton will be "fighting" us for Dyche then? That tells you all you need to know about the relative merits of Pellegrino, de Boer and Dyche as far as the open market is concerned.

The open market reflects betting odds rather than actual managerial quality But Steve please get someone in soon!

Did you want him to appoint the first available name and not consider anyone else Personally I wanted him to consider everyone who might be available and suitable and make a decision but to do it quickly to give the new manager time to get his feet under the table. It is noticeable that Hull, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Sunderland don't seem to have had the same problems as we have in appointing a new manager

The market I was referring to is the clubs that are looking for a manager, i.e. Southampton and us. Southampton are interested in one or two of our supposed targets, but not Dyche it would seem. Now why do you suppose that is?

Folks I know its frustrating but surly we have to have faith in Steve's business acumen. When has chosen the best person to manage Palace he will announce it. So while this chatter passes the time that's all its doing.

No, I wouldn't question his "business acumen", but I do seriously question his ability to make a decision, particularly when the extended delay in doing so impacts on our preparations for next season.
