Oh in that case I will have to defer to your superior connections. Always preferred Steve Davis myself as he had by far the more exciting personality. Mountjoy never mounted any joy in me. Indeed. Never a favourite but he did have some spectacularly frilly fronted shirts. He looked like he’d come straight from The Comedians.

She might have inherited some of her determination and tenacity from me but her views are her's alone. sorry I never realised that you are in your 80s, so I guess we have to make allowances for your diminishing faculties and weird old fashioned views.....dementia is a terrible thing!

Let us hope so, it was quite disgraceful that the government never answered the petition's question so it was right for them to be pulled up on it. I don't expect them to publish the report but to issue another mealy mouth statement.
One more point |

I am 75 and have all my mental capacities in perfect working order don't you worry. Not too bad physically either as I am up a ladder painting the outside of my cottage most of the day at the moment.

That a proper response is justified is beyond dispute. How though they will respond will be interesting.

Well that's not safe and somewhat inconsiderate as you could require an ambulance if you fall. You should have a scaffold for that. Unless absolutely impossible to use a scaffold or for access you shouldn't work from a ladder. Certain trades excluded obviously. Painting your cottage isnt one of them.
