As for not getting what we want....errr, how were you behaving and compromising with Trump's four years....you weren't. No, in my view, the Democrats will reap what they sowed and have no cause for complaint. I've stated previously and I'll state it again. The Democrats like to play the morality Policeman...(or transgender PolicePerson considering we are talking Democrats). Biden bends with the wind and will do whatever he thinks carries favour with the elite power brokers. At least when s***e goes wrong we can point at those who preferred him.

For conservatism to survive in the US the republicans have to separate Let the Democrats live their corporate commie, multicultural violent degenerate dystopia. Try saying that all in one go. Edited by Stirlingsays (09 Dec 2020 2.52pm) Mass migration into settled lands is what happened in the USA. Sometimes driven by greed. Sometimes by force as a consequence of greed. Sometimes by religious persecution and sometimes by necessity, like the starving Irish. Conflict certainly followed but on balance are more people better as a consequence or worse? It's obviously impossible to be certain but a strong argument could be put that more are better. As better days followed a difficult start who is to say that pattern won't be repeated here? I had nothing directly to do with Trump. His impact on me was limited to the same negatives he made to the rest of the world. My contribution was to add my tiny voice to the torrent of outrage which flowed over him. So I had no opportunity to compromise. But nor did anyone else. Compromise requires willing partners on both sides of an argument to respect and acknowledge the validity of the opposing view. Compromise doesn't exist in Trump's world. He only sees things one way so they only way to deal with him is to meet him head-on. The only compromises that did happen were in the Senate, where the Democrats had some leverage in the House they could use. Your idea that the Democrats are "commie" is very funny. It's resonant of the old "reds under the beds" days of McCarthyism. A tactic used a lot by Trump these last 4 years. Paint every opponent a "lefty" or socialist or even liberal, and then accuse them of being a "commie". When most are are no more than centrist but just have a degree of social responsibility rather than the raw selfishness of their opponents.

Vast amounts of the US were sparsely populated and where settlers existed they were colonised. Settlers after this were high majority Europeans and that's what the constitution allowed for. The leftist meme that America was always a land of immigrants is just a fraud....much like the lies told in 65 by Kennedy to allay concerns. America was never open to the world until the mid sixties. Maybe the USA should join the EU?

Well everyone else is allowed to retain their identity apparently except, you have guessed it. Northern Europeans. African Americans, Mexican Americans, Italian Americans, even Irish Americans but no English Americans, German Americans, Scottish Americans or anyone who just integrates and doesn't have a reputation for criminality it seems.

Actually from my experience & I've lived here a few years just about every ethnic group except the English to a degree have some sort of link to their homeland.

I think you are going to be shocked by the actions of the dems in the coming years. Body bags being ordered as we speak I reckon. Many innocents will perish in foreign lands and the blood will be on the hands of one party.

A nationality is a concept subject to legal definitions and change. Genes are a physical reality. If you are genetically European your location is hardly relevant. Rudyard Kipling was born in India and spent a good deal of his youth there and loved the country....no one mistook Kipling for being Indian, least of all himself. As for the immigrant question, don't get lost in the argument. My point answered the claim that America was always a land of immigrants....which is a leftist meme that deliberately tries to give the impression that America was open. It wasn't....America's constitution specifically stated only Europeans may come. I answered the point because it's deliberate disinformation and hence irritating.
