Supposedly the add ons were very difficult to achieve. If so need to up the straight fee above £25 million with add ons, say £27.5 million and £2.5 million add ons. Might well of been a more realistic bid. Think this deal will happen.

The deal has run on for no other reason than the demands being unrealistic. Answer me this, we pay all this money, he rocks up, starts most of the season but gets 9 goals as per his form the last two seasons. Do you think we'll be able to find another gullible club for a full refund?

Big fan of CPFC2010 - and I think we all can say That they have done an stupendous job up until now, but this whole Benteke saga is screaming naivety at me. SP is playing the business game in a football world. he has little knowledge of how to broker this deal with a club like Liverpool. Selling Bolasie before bringing in Benteke was a mistake. it just showed them that we have money to spend, made our position weaker and makes our constant haggling over 3-4 mill seem insulting (which vs 30mill isn't that much). If 32m is too expensive, then 26m is as well. For it to go on so long, and for us to still be asking for dodgy deals, is a bit embarrassing tbh.

Maybe we could start one of those crowdfunding things to push this transfer over the line?

With businessmen it's like a battle of the egos, they have both got to look as though they have got the best deal. They are more likely to be working on a deal where both sides come out favourably

People have been writing 'Time to move on' for the last 2 months but other than the continuation of this thread, when was the last serious evidence that we're even still in for him?
