Any one else bored by semantics ? or is that what keeps the website going ? BBS attitude is to assassinate the poster, rather than opinion. Edited by Forest Hillbilly (18 Apr 2020 6.35pm)

Providing help to contain the outbreak at source makes as much, if not more, sense than stockpiling in case the infection spreads. Ideally both, especially when so many certainties existed and still do. Unless you are certain that your help is going to stop the spread you would be really foolish to rely on doing so. Calling attention to the origin, and falsifying of evidence, will work if it prevents a future virus from spreading. To repeat. Timing is the key point. There is a right time, a wrong time and a time which is plainly stupid. Diverting the attention of people onto the need to respond to a blame game in the middle of a crisis is plainly stupid. When that is done for political reasons alone then it deserves to be called out for the disgrace it is.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

There is scientific and political conflict with regards to resolution. Doesn't anyone get it ?

Which gives rather a poor outcome for society and internet forums. Evidence needs interpretation of course which unless it's say physics is inevitably going to differ dependent upon personal politics. Until the day objective truth is proven that's always going to be the case....and objective truth is a fallacy in my view. However, I think your general point is a fair one. I'd say that life never really differs that much from the schoolyard you knew. It just becomes more refined the higher the pay grade. There are posters who will be objective just like you'll find sensible people in the schoolyard....but the majority in the schoolyard.....Well, it's the schoolyard. Naga bitch this morning wouldn't let the ppe issue go. Like a dog with a bone. Even asking the woman who sources the equipment if she thought it was right to re use gowns. Anyhow more blacks and asians are getting this bug and dying pro rata so trying to keep an eye on them might actually stop that and save some lives. Labour asked the question last week.
