Someone is going to pay it. And he's probably the best we can get. I'd have thought that the money for Bolaise makes paying some of that extra a bit easier now. Apparently we've agreed terms with Beneteke (at 120k a week, or a flat rate of 6.24m per year... Yep, his salary a year will eventually amount to more than it cost to get the club out of administration in 2010, including actually buying the club... But the reality is also if he does well, he'll be off, so we have to ensure we can turn a profit or break even. And if he doesn't work out, and we're stuck with him, he could seriously damage our capacity to negotiate wages with existing players and bring in new players.

I'm in the Kilted Skirlie at Loch Lomomd Shores in Balloch. Fish and chips is £11. I offered the waitress £8 now and another £2.50 if I didn't throw up before 6pm. She told me to f*** off. Am I doing something wrong?

We will be in the championship so it will be a moot point. whichever way you spin it Jamie, this is embarrassing and piss poor form from a club that continually harps on about progression and "making the next step" well bloody do it then.

Because even if I had Parish and co's wealth, I'm not sure I'd have bought the club I love and adore. Its actually like paying so that people can hate you and complain that your not willing to burn money to make them happy. And if he does, and Beneteke doesn't work out, it'll be his fault, if he doesn't its his fault and if we does the glory business, fans will slap themselves on the back and say 'I said Beneteke was the answer' And also cement millions more in tv money, sponsership, comercial deals and maybe even more from outside investment.

The deal has run on for no other reason than the demands being unrealistic. Answer me this, we pay all this money, he rocks up, starts most of the season but gets 9 goals as per his form the last two seasons. Do you think we'll be able to find another gullible club for a full refund?

Gamesmanship or realistic prices? Parish spends CPFC's money like its his (hang on....) but if Benteke has got a dodgy knee then the impasse maybe makes sense? Explains why the bindippers want all the cash upfront? I'm sure we'll get someone good through the door

I really think we should have moved on weeks ago. Liverpool have a player they over-payed for, that is not Palace's problem. If they won't drop their demands, let them keep him. We should have had two or three other options lined up, and with 25m+ burning a hole in our pockets, it shouldn't be hard. This strikes me as a case of all eggs being in one basket, and we'll get our pants pulled down accordingly (and I'm still not confident it will work out even if he does come)

And what demands pray tell are unrealistic, that they want something more like the figure they have quoted ??? what is wrong with that. Benteke is a good player with the right service wide balls into the box and coming from deep, exactly how Villa and the dippers used to play until klippety Klop turned up. He's also been injured and doesnt suit their style of play, but would suit ours.
