Brexit only became democratic when Parliament triggered Article 50.

Until then Brexit was a non binding referendum, which could, and should , have been ignored.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

Although these CONS are all implicated in everything from the biggest theft in history- the £47 billion PPE scandal and cover up, the £36 billion track and trace fiasco- the lying to her majesty- parties when fining joe public for walking his dog, the list is endless, but if I don"t see another of those familiar faces defending theft and bungle, I will be a happy man! Obviously we need a general election, which the CONS could well win in a couple of years, but, I can just enjoy seeing people in the supermarket eating humble pie- (if they could find any-or indeed afford it!). The Tory MP's have effectively destroyed their own party for potentially ever. They have acted to remove firstly the man who gave them an 80 seat majority, then removed a lady who won the clear support of their party membership and all in favour of a man, who for an entire raft of reasons, is never going to connect with the type of voter they need to.

And for what? A couple of days of wallowing in the virtue-signalling lime-light of having Britain's first Asian PM?

Before Labour slaughter him for being a billionaire, for the tax status of his wife, for the green-card option he retained whilst in the Cabinet?

It is going to be open season, at the end of which, the Tories lose the next election.

Johnson at least offered a hope because the man does have a certain charisma that voters can respond to. Not saying he would have, and I despise the man on a multiple of levels, but he knows to win elections. Which is what it is, ultimately, all about in politics. Or supposedly.

Why is my comment defending the Tories? It was regarding your comment about a democracy. Are you or are you not wanting Brexit overturned?

All I know is that Labour have just been handed the next election on not only a silver platter but had it up neatly sliced up for them. Can get away with no spending a single penny on an election campaign.

This has been a coup. As simple as that. And I am convinced that senior Tories are desperate to lose the next election. That is the interesting part in all of this because there can be no rational explanation for what has gone on.
