Incorrect, the rumoured bid is as previously stated.. £55m + £10m in add ons (probably something impossible like Wilf achieving 100 caps for England) and Reiss Nelson on loan for the season. In my eyes the deal is crap, they've basically upped it by £10m and asked us to develop one of their hottest prospects for them as it seems they'd rather buy someone else instead of actually developing him.. who by the way could very well become twice the player Wilf is.
If Nelson is part of the bid I see nothing wrong with that Provided there’s a loan to buy clause inserted. If there was, we would actually be developing our own future player? Plus we could increase the cash payment element to £75m or whatever? Without a loan to buy option, forget it

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle It's getting boring now. They either have the money, or they don't, and we're not moving. 1) £80m+ in cash up front. Bid it by midnight tomorrow, or don't contact us again.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle can anybody answer this question for me, is i dont know the answer. lets say for example we sell wilf for £80m, lets say for example spread over 3 seasons as most clubs pay in instalments. at that price we owe united £18.5m, would this be paid in instalments or would it have to be paid in 1 go? if we do a player involved deal, do we only owe united for the cash received or is the value of the player added into the deal. because if we sold wilf for £80m over 3 years and had to pay united up front we would barely have any money left from the deal this summer to replace him.

I believe they work pro-rata as when you receive the funds. So if it's 15 percent or whatever it is, it's 15 percent of the money you receive - as and when you get the money. There can be a maximum limit built into the transfer contract.

Is the correct sentiment..!! This is getting really boring now - 256 pages on this thread and still no firm/realistic offer.!! For Christ sake Arsenal put up or shut up..!! IMO,this is a non story and Wilf going nowhere in this window - if Chelsea were not on a transfer ban could be different. I do wonder if these discussions are going on in the background - would give Wilf everything he wants - stay in London and Champions League football. Time will tell..!! COYP

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle Well the fact is (not my opinion), Wilf hasn’t submitted a transfer request, he’s stated in the past he would like to play champions league football and to be honest, would like to see him play on the so called big stage. Arsenal are miles away from the top 4 and I can’t see why this season it will be different, they made a ridiculous offer in this market of 40 mill paid over x amount of years, we’re flatly turned down and been silent ever since. If Wilf wants to leave he should hand in a transfer request, stop pissing around and move on ..... ffs

COYP Arsenal's latest offer seems as terrible as the first. We don't know if its split over several seasons again and it was reported that 25% will go to Man U. Plus they have offered us the chance to develop one of their players. I still can't see this happening. Putting in offers to unsettle a player has happened so frequently we all know it can works, but I can't remember a time when they've been so far below a players value.
