This Dianne Abbott short biog shows how much she has achieved in the house of commons. She is a more than competent MP so more than likely a good choice.

So why does she get a hard time from the msm?
She was one of 16 signatories of an open letter to Ed Miliband in January 2015 calling on the party to commit to oppose further austerity, take rail franchises back into public ownership and strengthen collective bargaining arrangements.

I'm waiting for Mr Bean to get a Shadow Cabinet Post and Gusset staunchly defending Corbyn's right to appoint him.... and details of Bean's track record of key projects delivered and his aptitude for the position.

Here is one of Corbyn's unelected acolytes squirming about opposing grammar schools but conversely sending her son to a selective school:

I will say it again - it is the privileged and wealthy in Labour, like Corbyn, Thornberry and Shami, that is handing working class votes to UKIP. Long may it continue.

She also opposes grammar schools while sending her own children to private fee-paying schools.

I must admit I couldn't suppress a chuckle when I'd heard that Corbyn had appointed Diane Abbott as shadow home secretary.

It's a kind of political 'Benny Hill'.

The Labour party look down on traditional working class people and have no real solutions for them. It's why a sizable number of them voted for Ukip in the north.

To win an election Labour have to get Tory voters to switch to them......They don't believe in a nuclear defence and they want Diane Abbott as home secretary.

It's cuckoo land in the Labour party for the foreseeable future.

Instead of attacking people, why don't these programmes cover the plus and minus points of grammar schools.

Abbott has been re-elected in her constituency a few times, she is an experienced mp who has made a few mistakes but also won many awards too. She also spent time on the foreign affairs select committee meaning she knows the department she is shadowing.

Attack her policies, that should be fair game, but as soon as her name is mentioned, the same old vilification starts with people dragging up the same 3 things over and over again...

Like I said, she's not my favourite MP, but the treatment she gets is spiteful.

Nope, sorry I can't go along with that Nick.

If she were a nice person who wasn't spiteful herself then perhaps..... but she deserves all she gets.

I find it strange that criticising Abbott is 'spiteful', yet calling all Tories 'cunds' is not.

Maybe you can make some sense of this Stirling?
