Yeah, lets just all pause for breath, there's still 2 months to the start of the season. Things are obviously going on behind the scenes and we will get a manager in our own good time, and I'd rather have the right man than the first/quickest man. Its the way of the internet age that we need instant news/gratification. Lets face it, even if we announce a manager in the next 5 mins half the folks on here would then be complaining he hadn't signed any players yet... So just chill and go with the flow lads. Getting stressed or moaning about dawdling will not get things done any quicker and could potentially cause friction within the fans. 5th season in the top flight is excellent, so lets let them do their jobs - it could be worse -
I've got a bad feeling about this..... |

Well said that man. It just wouldn't be Palace if there wasn't a bit of drama.

It's just a piece of manufactured drivel by a news paper that has absolutely no news on the subject, a bit like a few posters moaning on here. As far as I'm concerned, the kess (or zero) news the better before a new manager is announced. Edited by europalace (15 Jun 2017 3.44pm)

You do realise that your post is also a moan that contains absolutely no news on the subject either

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

You are right in the normal world, in that if an individual leaves then it is right for the manager to look at himself and work out why it happened, and take the blame (or, more aptly, learn the lessons that are there to be learned). However, in senior management positions, and particularly in senior management positions in volatile markets, the position of the organisation in the marketplace changes and so does the requirements of the senior managers therein. Also the ability of that organisation to attract high-quality candidates change and thus when things do not work out it is often for factors that are not to do with poor selection or poor man-management. You need to look at the picture holistically, and be careful when you apply real world logic to niche businesses like football clubs.
