That is the ideal scenario and one I hope comes to pass. If the Board do make a change and it fails they will have been the reason for the failure starting with the appointment of Roy in the first place. We will all know at the weekend because if a change is going to happen it will have to be at that point. I’d like to know why you think this when the form and results this season and much of last say otherwise? We are a busted flush in that teams have worked us out. They know we play a narrow defence that is easily beaten either by a quick diagonal from midfield to either wing or by turning the centre half’s. Teams overload our aged right hand side and our inexperienced left side and Andersens defending has got worse so our impregnable Hodgson defence now looks more akin to a sieve than a solid wall. Hodgson relies on a strong defence to gather points and we already know he has little to do with attacking tactics, so not really sure how he is expected to turn things around when his defence is leaking goals and plan A in attack is failing miserably.

Why the desire to have Cooper appointed ? Probably only 50-50 to keep us up.

Relegation will be the natural and inevitable result of how the club has been run over the past 11 seasons. Unfortunately hubris got a grip of Parish and Co, they thought they could wing it with minimal investment, a star player (Wilf) and a by now out of tune experienced manager.

My main reason is that he has knowledge of the players strengths and weaknesses and has ,when all the players fully fit , them performing successfully as per last season and the beginning of this season.. He is aware of what is needed to top the squad up to cover his perceived weaknesses. We played narrow as you call it when we won games as well as when we lost. Anderson as you say needs to up his game but to imply that Hodgson is responsible for his poor performance is pushing it, players have good and bad spells.

In the event of a fairly inevitable relegation, how much would the owners & players actually care ?? A tricky question, not.
