I've also heard separately that we would only make a bid for him if we believed Chelsea would be agreeable to doing a deal. After all, we've had a good relationship with them over recent years so I can well believe there have been quiet discussions during this window.

Time will tell.

The way the current market is it’s going to cost a lot more than £27 million and I very much doubt Chelsea will be even tempted at under £40 million

If Chelsea accepted £27 million then I would imagine there would be lots of extras like a big sell-on percentage, first refusal and extra bonuses for appearance, goals, caps, etc. My one big worry with this is not his ability but rather how well he would manage the disappointment of not getting a proper crack at Chelsea first. His bright, bubbly personality and eagerness is such an important part of what he brings to the club. Having said that, Tuchel seems a bit of a tyrant whereas Vieira has the appearance and demeanour of the Honey Monster, so maybe Conor knows he'd be much better with us!! Still see this as unlikely and am refusing to get my hopes up.

Got a feeling that is how it is. so we are told Palace have now made an actual offer, surely that can only be because at last Connor is available. Big problem is it might take more than £27 million and Chelsea are open to offers. Chelsea’s market is crazy, when buying, so probably only paying through the roof will get Gallagher.

If something has changed & we have made a bid for CG then I would imagine that the transfer managers of Sherwood forest, Sandcastle & Everton will all be active early on Tuesday morning.

If this offer is true, it has to be a nightmare for Palace ,that it’s been made public.
It is all ifs and maybe things have gone beyond just an offer. But the likely hood is a first offer would be turned down, and further to that every other interested party can ambush the situation. So is this Palace getting worked over again?

Could be 27 upfront with add ons?

To be fair, if I'm tuchel I wouldn't be sure abotu Connor being the answer, and I'b be asking the boss for another CM to pick up the reins when Kante isn't fit.

Not if it’s linked to Zaha going in the opposite direction - which to my mind is what it is all about..!!

Beyond that Everton won’t have the money and even the Sheriff of Nottingham’s funds must be running low by now having plundered the “shires” for 15 odd must be said based on yesterdays performance very average players..!!

Sandcastle is a possibility - but if it is linked to Zaha going in to Chelsea rows them out too.

For my tuppence worth - Gallagher coming in and then getting in Sarr as replacement for Zaha would be good business..!!

Also don’t rule out Hudson Odi - the loan deal to Leverkusen ain’t done yet - now Gallagher for £27M and Hudson Odi on loan with Zaha going to Chelsea would be very tasty indeed..!!!

If I’m Parish that’s what I’d be pushing for..!!

Interesting next few days me thinks..!!

The regime we had good relations with have all gone. A deal involving Zaha is looking the most likely outcome, if they cant get Aubameyang.
