Textor was, and always will be, a snake and a used car salesman. Perfect for Everton. Good riddance.

Textor Selling his shares in the club (45%) to H&B is a good outcome for CPFC - (Less shareholders, less differing opinions around the table & an improved possibility to have a clear direction forwards)

Textor selling outside the existing shareholder group seems more unlikely (in terms of him getting a good deal) given the voting rights structure, who would want to pay top dollar for 45% shares when it only comes with 25% voting rights ?
Unless any prospective buyer came along with "loads a money" & on the strength of considerable additional investment & maybe at the same time buying out other shareholder(s) was able to engineer a deal that included a better voting rights package.

Also - Why would Textor be interested in Everton?
I would imagine its because they are in trouble financially & he thinks he can get in there, buy it relatively cheaply, take advantage of the new stadium & end up as majority shareholder with maximum say in the running of the operation.

As someone else said earlier- Textor is a serial flip flopper & is probably only flexing his financial muscle because he is upset about the voting rights package at Palace.

Wouldn't be surprised if Harris and or Blitzer engineer a deal to buy out Textor.

If the click bait stories are true, then Textor has got himself stuck between a rock and a hard place. Minority share with even smaller voting rights carries minimal value for incoming interest. Harris and Blitzer will be watching this very closely.
If they play it right, they could pick up full controlling interest and majority ownership for a very good price. Parish in his current position would stay running it and we go back to pre Textor times, with H&B ( and possibly Parish) having made a very nice substantial gain. It would appear they are firmly in the driving seat alongside a minority shareholder with itchy feet.
Everton sounds like a far better option for what we have seen of Textor. Minority stake is something that clearly does not float his boat. I just dont get based on his multi club strategy how he got caught with his pants down at Palace, putting in so much with no real security or control.
H&B and Parish will be in the driving seat on this one to retain Palace at a very good price. Another big win for the club potentially.

Agreed not sorry to see him go just concerned about who the buyer will be.

I’m astonishingly ignorant on this subject matter so was concerned.

I hope I am correct in my interpretation of some of these posts that this could actually be good for the club.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Textor wanting to sell when the stock is high fine I get it however in the short to mid term this will affect everything from transfers to the Stadium rebuild.

Were not allowed nice things.

Not the best timing from the Club’s pov but we will be fine. Guehi will be sold for at
least £50m which will be used to fund some wise purchases this summer to fill the gaps and add a bit of depth. New investors will come along but the Club will still be run by Parish so there will be very little impact on the day to day operations. Glasner is unlikely to follow an investor who rarely even visits.

I wonder if it might be those fella from Saudi that visited the club earlier in the season. Can’t remember where they came from but assume they are caked.

Palace, thank goodness, have not delivered to Textor what he hoped. A way of trading players between his clubs to his own perceived advantage.

Parish, Harris and Blitzer have stood firm against that. Though O'Brien was lost to Lyon.

So it's good to have someone not interested in Palace, as its own identity, out of the club. Whether he will find a buyer is the question. He'll be wanting a good profit - and will need one if he's hoping to fund Everton. A good place to lose a fortune.

Palace are in a very attractive position to new investors. But the buyer will not have complete control - unless they can buy additional shares.

If Textor can't find a buyer then he can always sell to the current shareholders but they won't pay top dollar for his shares if he hasn't managed to sell them elsewhere.

If Harris and Blitzer wanted Parish out then they could buy the shares but even Textor was extremely complimentary about Parish's ability to run the club so unlikely they want to find (or be) the new operational talent running the club.

Fortunately the squad is in great shape so we don't need all the shareholders to be reaching agreement on huge player purchases.

Funding for the new stand could be an issue, I guess it would need all shareholders to be in favour and supplying money / guarantees?

I think Textor really believes in his Multi-Club idea, and it is probably a good idea with the right clubs, unfortunately Palace is not the club for his ideas, where the whole is more important than the single clubs, Everton wouldn't be right either, it news a club who doesn't have passionate fans, good luck with that.

Looks like this is just clickbait clucking.
Not a fan of multi club ownership in Europe.
What will happen if Man City come up against Gerona next season in Champions League? Both owned 100% by Abu Dabi.
Textor has made it clear minority holding is not his beef. This gives our big shareholders a steal when the time comes for Textor to go.
