I'm stunned that you feel this way.

There must be some way for you to complain to the EU......though I will say that while we were the better side we also had the rub of the green....and I will never be ok with diving.

And that laser pen basstard nearly took it away.

I think those of us that don't rate Southgate, this proves our point.
Despite being much better we were very lucky last night.
Let's hope it holds and we win on Sunday.

Genuine question, if not Southgate, (who I think is now doing ok as our manager) who would you have instead?

It wouldn't surprise me if he got a knighthood if England win the Euros.

You also previously mentioned Belgium and Martinez, I also think he did ok, nothing special, but though they were rated No 1 in the world, I think that ship has now sailed.

They don't have that many top players, Hazard now seems to be almost permanently injured and the three centre backs are now too old and slow.

Games between England and Denmark for example, should not be played in London or Copenhagen, but in a neutral venue, there are plenty of them.

This avoids favouritism, justified or not.

Any of the top coaches in the world.
We can afford it.
Why not Pep.?
I don't think he'd ever take the Spain job as a proud Catalan.
My point about Martinet is valid.
Widely viewed as the best squad/ favourites in last world Cup and these euros and failed to deliver.
I would suggest a better/ world class manager would have achieved what the talent in the squad deserved.
Southgates limits were exposed in the world cup semi final, in a game we should have won.
As for this tournament, don't underestimate the advantage of playing at home. ( OK Ukraine was away but they are really poor).
Wembley papers over many cracks.
I believe this group of players is so much better than the cautious, risk adverse football they are asked to play.
It's a home tournament (effectively) which ramps up the tension and excitement, not the style of football.

That makes tournament football a bit difficult if the host nation can’t play at home.

Yes, I'd say that if there's any time to pause the critiques, look to the positives and get behind the team and manager, it's right before the final of our first major tournament final since '66. It's often the English way though, to delve the depths of anything remotely positive and dredge up a litany of perceived negatives.

Who knows how Sunday will go, and how decisions made on the day or prior to it will feed into it, but hopefully we'll all be cheering our boys on regardless of opinions this way or that.

Correct, and I’m sure we all will be. I’m not a big GS fan but will be right behind him and the boys on Sunday roaring on them on. It’s a monumental occasion.

Absolutely mental last night. Been to 100s of football games, the atmosphere at Wembley last night was absolutely bouncing. Can’t see that ever being topped.
Heard ally Mcoist saying before that England v Scotland at euro 96 was the best atmosphere he’d seen, considering he’d played in Rangers v celtic games it sounded like b+llocks.
Make him right now, I was on the top tier and could feel the stand moving.
Need to win it now.

We are not hosting the euros, yet seem to be enjoying home advantage.

The English quarters, semis and final all being played at Wembley.

Yes. The National stadium. Where should they be played?
