I don't think we are a club that can entice managers who are in a secure job ; I'd be happy with either Howe or Lampard. Don't act like we are a big shot who can entice managers from other premier league clubs. We cannot

At least theres no danger of doing a fantastic half job and leaving us in the lurch if Chelsea come a calling - although you never really know these days! Agreed. The fact that particular bubble has been burst already is a good thing. He won't be coming to us to prove a point to Chelsea as we won't get close to them no matter how well he does, and he won't be touted for every top job every five minutes because the media tends to reserve that treatment for those who have had notable success at big clubs already (Alegri, Ancelloti etc) or those they feel have the potential to be that good, like Howe two or three years ago or Rogers before he went to Liverpool. Once a guy has had a chance at a big club and 'failed' he has quite a long road ahead of him to rebuild his status as a media darling and favourite for every job going, and can be left to get on with a medium to long term job in the meantime. Rogers still isn't top of the list for any of the big six despite his good work since Liverpool, and Moyes would have to win the bloody league with West Ham to even get a look in. I quite like that Lampard has had a bit of the shine knocked off already.

If it is Lampard,he already knows what it is like to have a transfer ban so would feel at home here so no real difference in our transfer policy
