Arsenal fans upset at having a billionaire owner who doesn't give a damn about the game or the fan worry not. Wenger, Berkamp, Henry and a host of other former Arsenal names are riding to your rescue by backing a takeover bid by another billionaire owner err.... This is not the answer this Swedish guy maybe a good bloke but football clubs should not be run by the whims and caprices of one rich owner.

Listening the Man U fans on the call in last night, it seems they have no clear idea of what they object to or what their objective is. Although, as ever, Manchester United fans are as good as ever at coming up with excuses for their actions and covering up the disgusting behaviour of their fans. Violent protest seems to be a trend at the moment, where the voices of a handful of thugs is getting heard above the majority. It seems like they are really just disgruntled that they don't get everything going their way anymore and are throwing a tantrum. Some want the "yanks out" but seem to have no grasp of who will replace them, or how the business works. Old Trafford is built to generate vast sums of money, 7 days a week. Over the past year its not made anything and is hugely expensive to maintain. They complain about the globalisation of football and Americans buying English teams, but they were trail blazers in implementing American francise style corporate and marketing measure in the UK to become "the biggest club in the world". When it was all going their way, they just used to claim fans of other clubs were jealous. I think their main objection to the super league was due to the fact they knew they would never win. Nothing to do with the purity of sport. The glory hunters just don't want a taste of their own medicine. With the Glaizer's, they want them gone a scapegoat for their lack of success. However, its not like they've not spent any money. They've squandered a fortune. What they really want is a billionaire to come in and buy the league for them. It's quite enjoyable to see Manchester United fans cry like babies as they realise the globalisation and commercialisation of football is now working against them.

As Graeme Souness asserted, the 'Net Spend' at Man Utd since the Glazers have been in charge is some £790 Million ! In actual fact the 'Net Spend' going back to 2014-15 season is around £600 Million.

Playground bully suddenly finds there are 3/4 other bullies and doesn't like it. When Chelsea arrived on the scene Ferguson complained about clubs buying success it was then pointed out that the biggest transfers deals at that time were all Man United. I do sympathise with the fans but the only way change will happen is if they stop giving money to the club.

I think they should be punished by playing their next home game behind closed doors. That'd teach 'em.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

Can’t say I agree with the opinions on here. The Glazers bought the club in debt, which costs their ability in the transfer market. I’d be p1ssed off if I was a fan of a club taken over with that business model. There are different types of man United fans and the ones who attend regularly as fans will probably share the view with other club fans that their club and the sport and its structure are being pulled away from them just for business and profit and nothing to do with the sport so that they become even more irrelevant and they may as well move the club to the Far East (which is what I’d personally prefer and have 2 versions of the top 4 or 5 clubs and the original version still here to end this globalisation problem English football now has)

We could see Liverpool and Man Utd try to protest more than each other, which can be no bad thing. It doesn’t make an owner sell, but it teaches them not everything is going to accepted. I’ve heard Liverpool fans say they’re prepared to drive the club value down and down the league places by not buying any tickets and I believe they would. This is what I can’t believe Arsenal fans haven’t done. Boycott all merchandise and food and beverages and then tickets is what owners take notice of. That alone may only have limited effect but worldwide appeal soon drops if a club’s or league’s own fans leave in their droves.

Nice to know UEFA really stamped their authority on the clubs involved . . .
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
