I’m sure I counted 4 chances against WBA, 2 x great saves by their keeper. The penalty that Milo put away and Eze who hit one straight down the keepers throat. But I know what you mean, it’s not like we are dominating teams. Although against Man Utd we really should have beaten them.

Couldn’t agree more. The games are better spaced out at the moment resulting in our players receiving the amount of time they need for their ages so our play should in theory improve somewhat especially with returning players, but they'll need at least three younger ones next season to add some zest to their movement forward, if we continue as we are then it's curtains sadly no matter what manager we have.

Tenacious sides we can't cope with we have become lazy and predictable and have no one to up the pace for us, we have two in Schlupp and Townsend who attempt to move forward in decent fashion no one else. How have you come up this Aero? How in the name of Saint Christopher should we be in the bottom 3? I find that mind boggling.

You don’t end up comfortably in mid table year after year by luck. It doesn’t happen. Yes we are boring to watch, yes the football is bad but we haven’t ridden our luck all season. We deny clear cut chances and sit deep and wait to counter and score a clear cut chance ourself. Even when being dominated and conceding possession and shots they are not good shots or useful possession. It’s hard to watch but we are exactly where we deserve to be.

Appealing to watch does not mean we are lucky to not be in the bottom 3. We have a way of playing that is not to everyone’s liking but it is not built on luck. Against Brighton it was not luck that won us the game. We played very badly and they had most of the ball but we scored 2 brilliant goals from our 2 chances created.

What's any of this got to do with Eddie Howe? Please stick to the topic.

Agree Eddie and it’s goals that win games!

If Eddie Howe had been our manager this season, we wouldn't be talking about having played boring football. We'd be wondering why with all our attacking flair and goals scored we were still in the bottom 3 and facing relegation, and wishing for those good old days of boring football under Roy. (Mind you, Howe may have learned a thing or two since reflecting on his time at Bournemouth, so he might be the man to take us forward next season)
