I personally don't wear a poppy, but have no issue with those who do and respect the opinion of those who see it as an important political message. Why do you treat taking a knee in a different way? It has nothing to do with Marxism or vuolence. It's the players deciding that for 5 seconds they want to remind people of an issue. Why feel the need to potentially insult wilf, kouyate etc by booing? I have sold poppy's for many years and I defended the right of the West Brom Player not to wear one when he was getting stick. It's a personal choice how or if people choose to remember those people who gave their blood for this country. Apparently that level of tolerance doesn't work the other way though. Again, no. I can understand why you don't agree with taking the knee. What I don't accept is being so self-centred as to boo as if even having to watch it for 5 seconds was an insult to your human rights. This is an issue for black people, which mostly black footballers are raising. Having thousands of white people booing rather than listening says a lot really. An issue for black people? In part yeah, but the main drivers seem to be monied white elites. Black people like every group differ. Coventry and QPR are more multi racial than Millwall yet they stopped kneeling. People like Les Ferdinand thinks the gesture should stop. There is a whole industry built upon what you believe. People with paid positions whose employment is centred on pushing this rubbish. I don't agree with your ideas of 'racial injustice' and I think what you support does more harm than good.

Can you please advise what the better ways are as to how fans can communicate this? Gestures of their own. Banners, flags. Discussions on TV and radio phone-ins. Comments in newspapers, Twitter. FB groups. Even forums like this! I disagree. I don't think anyone really believes this has anything at all to do with a political organisation in the USA. Not when by football players in the UK.

I partly jest but attitudes towards 'foreigners' were always going to improve through exposure. This kind of token nonsense sets us against each other and backwards. You are deluding yourself if you think that prejudice or antagonisms between different races will ever completely disappear. I think Britain is astonishingly tolerant considering the onslaught of immigration related issues it has had to endure. Taking a knee is an imported militant act of defiance which has no place in football or this country. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (07 Dec 2020 6.29pm)

BLM exists in the UK under several names. It's part of the diversity industry and as such makes loads of money from corporations and 'white guilted' liberals.

This is very eloquently put and I think perfectly summarises how most feel about the situation. I would be interested on DanH, Wisbechs and Forests thoughts on this.

Yes, I agree that some skinheads are racists in the same way that so are some accountants, dentists, salesmen and footballers. There was a time when the only thing you associated with skinhead culture was racism. If some weren't they kept themselves well hidden and did nothing to challenge the popular conception or those that were. It was those that I was targeting with my initial sarcasm and not seeking a debate over the history of a movement which hardly seems very important.

Some feel guilty and some are just too scared for their jobs to object. An in law of mine was told by his Black boss to use more Black owned companies and Black service providers. He refused and was then harassed with contrived disciplinary matters until he decided to quit his job. This is real world Britain. Prejudice is now OK if it is directed toward Whites.

Brexit doesn't make them happy, but as it sure as hell makes the progressives unhappy they get a warped sense of victory from it. The world is moving on. Without us I regret to observe.
