There can be no retrospective action because the referee saw the incident and decided that a yellow would suffice. If he hadn't seen the incident then it's a different scenario. I know that! What I was saying is the rules should be changed so IF the ref did not see the incident fully further action could be taken but thanks for the lesson

The whole thing is a stitch-up from top to bottom.

Or maybe in cases where the ref has been as much use as a chocolate tea pot. Oh wait a minute that will be just about every game then.

Our defending for the two goals was dreadful today and I thought the midfield was poor throughout the second half. When have I heard that before? Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (26 Aug 2018 10.48pm)

Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (26 Aug 2018 10.48pm) If you look at the players considered as 'Strikers' : Benteke - Only 1 goal since the end of January and that was a penalty. Doesn't make good reading. Edited by Willo (26 Aug 2018 11.10pm)

If someone can explain logically why Benteke is still on the team sheet then I'm all ears.

Maybe Sky didn't want it either

We should have put this game to bed in the first half, but we didn’t and were undone by a fluke goal. How the ref didn’t see that as a straight red on Wilf I don’t know, but that looked like the easiest decision of the day. Hope to see some changes for the Southampton game and it is time for Tekkers to be benched...
