Does it matter?

They are not there for your personal entertainment and owe you nothing.

It does matter really because it’s an impractical thing they’re counting on until the main stand is built or we’re relegated. All the stuff about working with replacing fans is great but there’s nowhere in that stand with the same view to go to. And making it inclusive to all in that section is no good either because some don’t want to or physically can’t stand. Plus it would mean either just the back stands and pretty pointless bothering because their aim is standing spreading across most of the stand or the whole block and then we go back to some can’t or don’t want to stand and there’s nowhere for them to go.

Great idea. Unfortunately unworkable now. Why can’t they wait is a reasonable question based on all of that and supporting your club is a long term thing.

There is going to be issues regardless of new stand or safe standing. There will always be unhappy fans. In my opinion the owners should have just gone for it to move the club forward.

Unfortunately it's not to be and there's nothing we can do about it.

The HF have moved on so all the talk of why couldn't they do this or that is pretty irrelevant.

So we as fans need to unite and continue the legacy the HF have given us as some of the best fans in the league.

I have my doubts, but let's hope I'm wrong.

The issues and number of unhappy fans if this was done after the main stand goes up will be minuscule compared to if it was attempted right now. That is really very obvious.

If rumours are true they’ve moved to other seats (maybe block E) so the HF moving on isn’t quite true.

Nope, I don't believe it will miniscule. There will be uproar no matter what.

When I said moving on I meant dispersed around the ground. That's what I read online anyway.

Either way the group won't exist in its past form.

There are realities to face here - moving them how it has been suggested would cause issues for the vast majority of fans in the lower Holmesdale as has already been adequately explained. The club could also not be seen to turn a blind eye to such huge numbers standing (of their own free will or because they have to in order to see anything).

In what way is any of that moving the club forward?

I’m pretty sure if there was a viable option put forward it would stand a chance but as of today there is no such thing. New stand = opportunity for change and in the grand scheme of things it’s not too long to wait. That genuinely is moving the club forward.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

I don't understand how you just move on if you support a club?

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

I think they’re more ‘on a break’, in different seats?

IF (and it's all speculation at this point) the HF have dispersed themselves all round the lower Holmesdale, with the intention to stand and sing as they did in Blocks A & B, I can foresee some serious consequences for the club.

To date, at the stadium licencing renewal meetings, they have been able to say that whilst there is ILLEGAL standing in Blocks A & B (predominately), it is controlled and monitored and therefore poses little risk to the general public in the rest of the stand. On this basis, they have been able to get a renewal of the stadium licence without problems.

If there is now to be groups of people standing all over the lower tier, it will be far. far harder for the club to proved that it is a controlled environment and poses no more risk than having them all in one place.

Regardless of personal feelings, the law decrees that Premiership stadia will be all- seater, and if someone at the Council decides that this is unacceptable, it will not matter who sits or stands where, as the whole lower stand will be shut down.........
