The player wants to play at the highest level and had fallen out with Shalke probably his agent had told him a big team in Europe would take him. It didn't happen so he has joined us, maybe he sees it as a stepping stone to a top European Team. Possibly he thinks together with players Wilf he can get us into Europe.

Not so. I remember 2 weeks of house hunting or getting his family over while we were badly struggling. Luka Milivojevic didn't join until deadline day, 31 January 2017, the day we also played Bournemouth and he wasn't in the squad for the Sunderland game on 4 February; neither of which would be entirely unexpected. However he played 90 minutes in the next game against Stoke on 11 January, the first game he would have been reasonably expected to play in.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

As for this financial difficulties nonsense, that BSer from Brighton seems to have put the bloody wind up everyone. Steve Parish may have his faults, but financial dork he ain't, so can we forget some Seagull's opinion about our impending third administration, because our three owners could buy and sell The Lizard 10 times over.
Instead of taking note of that Brighton muppet I’ve been reading some knowledgeable and intelligent posts on the BBS and we do have financial concerns regarding rules. Our wage bill being the 8th highest is a dead giveaway for a start. And our wage bill is 78% of revenue. The highest in the Prem, and that’s before signing Sakho and raising Zaha’s wage last summer and further business. A bigger and more comprehensive picture will be presented by the Swiss Ramble online when it’s published because they’re sure to do one. It will make interesting reading and Parish will be worth his salt if this season, the season I feared, is a successful one and a Zaha sale later on or not we don’t get relegated. This post has been merged from a topic called 'Max Meyer ' by bexleydave Hope I am not jumping the gun as we have not completed deal but If what I read is right Palace paying £170000 per week for someone who did not score any goals or assists last season and who it appears has been turned down by a number of big European clubs over his wage demands. At 22 to run your contract down is pretty unusual. Not sure what sort of message this sends to Wilf who cant agree a new contract supposedly considerably less than that quoted for Meyer. I appreciate Meyer is on a free but this represents £35m over next 4 years.

Seeing his name in palace talk made me think we finally announced him, keep it to the dedicated thread in transfer talk until the point he is our player please.
