1970 is the best World Cup I've seen but this one has been excellent.

It could be an age thing but to see that Brazil team in it's prime was very special.

Italia 90 was awful, if it wasn’t for Gazzas tears, nobody would talk about it.

Brazil in Mexico 70 were on a different level.
This year has been enjoyable, as the lesser nations have gone and attacked, rather than load the defence.

What the absolute f*** lol

The romance, the cheating argies, the Germans as powerful as ever and scary going forward. Schillachi appearing from nowhere. It was a beautiful World Cup. So much so that every time I see the bbc show highlights of it I well up. Not just because England came so close, but because he entire tournament in my eyes was just magical.

Oh and who can forget roger miller and Cameroon! Valderama with Columbia, it was spectacular.

The Germans who scored that absolute fvcking fluke goal in the semi-final. One that you couldn’t reproduce if you tried for 100 years to do so. Not that I’m bitter!!

1982 World Cup is still the best.

The definitive Brazil team, playing like Brazilians. Still can't believe they lost to Paolo Rossi.

Everyone in the school playground wanted to be Zico or Socrates.

No-one's going to sing "it's just like watching Brazil" because of anything they've done this century.

For me it is the 1970 World cup with a Brazil side led by Pele and Carlos Alberto. Absolutely fantastic stuff and the great Gordon Banks save on Pele to boot. Plus Franz Beckenbauer playing with his arm strapped to his side due to a bad shoulder injury and no subs available.
