What concerns me about Sorloth is his lack of physical presence as a target man. Has anyone ever see him battle past a defender to win a header? As a target man your job is to hold the ball up and win headers, he doesn’t do that well. If he could, his lack of goals wouldn’t be such an issue. Against Boro there were several good crosses into the box, towards Sorloth, that he simply didn’t even challenge for. It looks to me either he’s scared to get hurt or lazy. This I shall unfair. I have watched him up close a few times. He is just not having the rub of the green and has been involved in the assists for a few goals. He offers quite a lot more than stats show. I would rather have him than bentekesaurus.

Such disrespectful rubbish. You can't select a player on the basis that he's scored a bunch of goals two or three years ago. For the last fifteen months at least he's been consistently either injured or s***e. Yes, he was a class player once; he may or may not be again. Belgium dropped him for the world cup because whatever his "class", his form has been appalling for ages. I hope he hasn't lost it for good, but there's a distinct possibility that that's the case. Just to make a point,Benteke was actually recalled to the Belgium Squad and it was while in training with them that he suffered his rather unfortunate injury. He needs to be loaned out but this wont happen because we need him to make up the numbers and i dont expect us to be signing some one else in his playing position any time soon. the amount we paid for him and the rising rate is another dumb business move from the club

Sorloth going out on loan is tied to Wickham’s health.

But there's a pretty close comparison between the new couldn't hit a cow's arse Benteke and the couldn't hit a cow's arse Sørloth. Adebsyor had a long history of being class but dud very little for us. Ayew scored 10 goals for a Swansea side that got relegated but now seems utterly useless. Schlupp has a PL title winner's medal. Even Puncheon used to score at a decent rate. And would you like Yannick Bolasie back?

Sorloth needs to start games with Meyer in the hole behind him. He is not an impact player and shouldn't be used as a last minute substitute.
Let's keep the ball this season! |

Parish explained that fully. We couldn't afford to keep him and also make new signings without falling foul of financial fair play. I was going to say 'Remember, it's not fantasy football', but even in fantasy football you have a maximum budget, and often have to sell in order to buy.
This is an old and boring topic, but please dont make it sound as if the club was forced into a position that we absolutely had to move Glenn Murray out. Yes he was old, yes he had a major injury but the decision to get rid of Murray was absolutely p*ss poor. We have an entire squad of players that have to be balanced and managed. There are other players that can be moved around when FFP topics rear their head (and whose fault is that in the first place) but you do not get rid of proven goalscorers! Its criminal, and look at our strikeforce since then, save one season from Benteke. Parish can try to explain and spin that all day long but it was an absolute howler, right up there with hiring FDB.
