That’s a fair point - any goal scored against us results in a defeat. We are relying on teams not scoring against us to get a point. Probably doesn’t matter who is in goal, but in truth Hennessey’s height would have saved that shot? Only if it hit him straight in the face and bounced back out. He wouldn't have seen that header until he watched it on Match of the day last night.

I would expect Hennessey to return next week. West Ham have a huge aerial threat with Carroll Collins Reid and Kouyate. Hennessey is taller and although he doesnt always use it to his advantage it still must be taken into consideration

I think he would have done , no proof in what you say there. No proof in mine either, for balance . On another point , we have conceded two goals from corners, is Speroni commanding the area and organising the defence like he is meant to?

He should and will continue. Hennesey has two seasons worth of that type of goal flying in without being replaced. I can't imagine that Roy will be that hasty.

Second week in a row that a shot from distance just seemed to bounce off him, rebound could have gone anywhere, if Shearer had been playing he would have scored from it.

My opinion, for what it's worth! Unfortunate goal to concede as on another day Jimmy's header would have gone clear and not hit Merrino. Having said that though, the header was in the middle of the goal, and Speroni was on his line in the middle of the goal so he has to save it. Perhaps PVA got in his way, like Jimmy did last week, but the pro-Speroni argument is always that he organises the defence so well - doesn't seem that way from what's happened in the last two weeks. That's no 18 PL games without a clean sheet for Speroni.

A header from 6 yards gives you no time, it's through you before you know it. Not talking rubbish at all. Not the keepers fault, so whether you have a Hennessey agenda or a Jules agenda it wasn't a f***ing goalkeeping error.
