He is highlighting the contradiction regarding your defence of Islamic immigration, a religion which is well known for it's backward treatment of women, while you wet your knickers about an outbreak of female outrage because some Hollywood scumbag practised the age old and well known casting couch routine. Wrong. I haven't said either way what I think about Islamic immigration. Now, back to the subject in hand... With all the allegations going on, should some offences be deemed 'of their time' and a zero tolerance enacted from now with no further action? Edited by nickgusset (30 Oct 2017 9.49pm)

I sit next to a practising muslim woman at work.I know for sure who is the more tolerant (and more repressed)out of her and Hrolf in their general attitudes. It may be doubted as to whether he's actually personally known a muslim in his life.. As for "caribbean-style mentality" of our youth tosh, has Hrolf actually examined the latest stats released by the Met covering 2015-16 re knife crime...very significant numbers of white and other non- Caribbean origin youngsters...Knife crime is indeed a serious concern of our time...but has very British roots in this country and featured heavily in "our" culture in the 19th century.Perhaps there was even a Hrolf the Eveready to use a blade in Victorian Norwood? Meanwhile, some people on here accuse Nick G of being a bigot and a racist....strange days indeed,as John Lennon put it.

You attack anyone with any ideas on reducing Islamic terrorist activity....Do you support the 'prevent' program...I can't remember. I've never read you putting forward any ideas yourself. I read a lot of complaining from you that we aren't concerned enough about the far smaller problem of far right extremists here. I also remember you linking to an attack on an Islamic reformer. As far as I can tell you are in unison with someone like Kermit on this issue.

Two of them were people I quite liked and both of them had issues with the affect of religion in their families. Every person is an individual. But we can describe behaviours and opinions of a group, because that's what surveys give us. So lets just say that when you look at what the Pew data says.....Hrolf has little on quite a few Muslims per hundred people in the UK. Edited by Stirlingsays (30 Oct 2017 9.54pm)

Well yes if their idea is to intern thousands without trial. I said that cuts to border and police services haven't helped. Not one person agreed with me, just started going on about always going on about the government. Going round calling all Muslims c***s (which many people do, not necessarily here - though I'm sure there are more than one or two - however much you deny it) is hardly going to help race relations is it. Now equal rights for wimmin...

We are talking about the contradiction between supporting the spread of Islamic attitudes toward women and getting all militant about a few misbehaving men. It is massively disproportionate and contradictory attitude.

You are in denial. You might think it's OK for women to have to cover from head to foot but I don't. I also don't think that people who have been indoctrinated from birth are in a good position to be objective. They feel they have power being covered from head to toe, going out to buy chicken or mutton and vegetables everyday, sometimes leaving husband at home with multiple wife, apparently. We're behind the times and thinking.
