What we wanted to see was however signes that we will come good as the season progresses and in the first half I think we showed that we are making steps forward.
Yes we are in the mire but we are improving.

Exactly. Man city could more than give Barcelona a game at the moment.

What was crucial was our conceding just before halftime. Destroyed our confidence. We seemed much better than we have been leading up to that. I think we are probably buggered this season, but it ain't games like this that decide it.

I'm not surprised in the slightest. They are an exceptionally good side and for the first half we held our own and created some good chances. Second half they showed the extra class they have. Last year we lost 5-0 at their place. The year before 4-0. We showed a vast improvement in the first half. Not great but definitely an improvement.

I notice some people are blaming Hennessey. I suggest you go to Specsavers. Hennessey made 3 very good close range saves.

There's no point bitching and moaning now. Pre-season/1st 4 games with frank are in the past. All the shambolics, crazy tactics and bad decisions are over. At least today no one can argue with the formation or team selection - something that should have been a blindingly obvious factor to get rigt from the off. Nothings going to really get any better until after Chelsea, from then on out, all we can do is battle like crazy. Just enjoy the ride... We're Palace. This is what we do. Im just looking forward to the time we can look like a competitive and confident team again.

COYP.

Roy just said Bentekes got ligament damage. So thats it we are knackered. Will have to look for a free agent now if there is any kind of quality out there

Did anyone expect any different result, so why are people moaning.
They will hammer better teams than us this season and have already.
There bench value was far in excess of our starting 11 value.

Absolutely. If Citeh had been our first game of the season & we'd played the same team/tactics as we did back then the result could've eclipsed the Anfield 9.

There is no immediate fix & we've been worse off but I can see improvements in how we set up and how we play - and it's happening quicker than it did with Sam.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Well done Parish, relying on one striker and managing to mess up the terms on the Turk and Niasse on deadline day.
What an utter mess we appear to be in,or are we??
