And I suppose it is Pardews fault that we have only 1 point from 4 games under Sam. Pardew wasnt perfect but I believe he would have kept us up. With Sam I feel we are going backwards.

For the Pardew sympathisers....

If Pardew had left on a high to fulfill his lofty ambitions leaving behind a winning team and Sam or anyone else for that matter had come in and continued winning with 'his' side in the first 4 or 5 games , I am sure you would (understandably) say it was Pardews team he inherited and credit much of the success to Super Al.

Surely the logic works the same way in reverse. Pardew presided over a team with one of the worst records over 12 months in Palace history. Sam has inherited that team and unsurprisingly in the first 5 games they still can't win. Again much of the credit must go to Pardew surely?

Seems logical but based on what I've seen in the last four games I just can't see any positive difference that this 'brilliant' new manager has made?

Of course it is, it's still Pardew's team, he can only work with what he's left with at the moment, Pardew ripped our heart out. I'll say it again, I'm not sure Allardyce is the right man but Pardew was definitely the wrong one, i was 100% for him for a long time but he did the same as he always does, tinkered with and destroyed a good team. I think we'd be losing these matches at the moment even if Alex Ferguson or whoever "insert name of favourite manager here" was in charge. I'm just hoping like all of us that there is enough time to turn it around.

Most of the people on here who keep blaming Pardew are starting to sound like the Tories blaming the Labour party for everything that's wrong in the country. Personally I think f our games is enough for a new manager to show some difference at least in our ability to keep a clean sheet.
Maybe it was right to let Pardew go but was it right to appoint Sam Allardyce?

Maybe but Pardew was one win away from survival ponts for the first half of the season. Admittedly over the calendar year the points total was dismal. Part of the problem was solved when we bought in a proven striker and back up to that striker on loan who unfortunately was injured for half a season. Had he addressed the defensive deficiencies in the current window maybe that missing win would have come in the second half of the season. At the time he was dismissed we were not in the relegation zone. The only reason we are not in the relegation zone tonight is because of the goals scored in the first half of the season.

Only time will tell I guess, but I know I would rather Sam in charge for the January transfer window than Pardew.

boo 909 in the words of Willo ballderdash. Pardew managed nearly a point a game BFS has managed .25 of a point. To me that is backward step and panic reaction from the board over the pond.

Amen. Look at the signings which were inept at best. Only one left back in squad for example. Not first team but SQUAD. Like him or not Big Sam is better than Pardew at this level.

BFS is targeting defence signings, which has got to be right. But the squad looks demoralised, and has kind of lost the spirit that they had with Pulis and Pardew. The worst thing Pardew did was to get rid of Jedi, a brilliant leader and a really solid DM, and we really miss that.

0.73 over 30 games and Allardyce has had 4.
If your car's rolling backwards down a hill you don't just slam your foot on the accelerator and immediately start going back up again.

Can't we just see what the new signings do before we start damning the man?
