Don't panic .... don't panic. We were never going to get anything out of today's game anyway. We HAVE to start beating those teams below or within six points of us. Our fightback starts with Swansea on Tuesday night.

People are massively overreacting. Calm down. We were never likely to win today. And we were beaten by an absolute worldy from Giroud. No, Benteke isn't crap. He's an exceptional premier league striker. He's proven that with Villa and he's already looked mustard for us at times. But what do you expect him to do with the service (or lack there of) that he's getting. If he gets 3 chances, he puts at least one away. But when he gets one half chance header and he misses, we can hardly slate him. He gets long aimless ball after long aimless ball pumped at him and is expected to hold off some of the league's best defenders, whilst bringing the ball down and finding a pass. Give the guy a break. Sometimes getting the armband brings the best out of a player. Sometimes it distracts them. Clear it's doing the latter for Dann. He needs to be stripped of the captaincy and focus on defending. Give Ward a break too - he's being played out of position and has been a consistent and great performer for us for years. Wilf is incredible - can't believe people are slagging him off. He's asked to basically play wing back for an entire game...and does it. And still has the energy and endeavour to storm up the wing and counter for us...surrounded by 3 or 4 defenders. Remember, we were McArthur-less today. One of our most important players, out. Hennessy looking really decent. Chungy made a massive difference when he came on. He's way better than most give him credit for. Should start in my opinion. Just some thoughts from me I generally agree with you but we have put on better performances against them in the past - today we were not really at the races.

Wilf will never get respect until he leaves Palace. Remember refs never take reputations into account, apparently. Wilf has every right to moan and is clearly demonised, whereas a clear cheat like Alli is lauded. Watch the change in pundit approach once he goes to Spurs. Where would we be as a team, if everyone started waving their arms in the air and complaining everytime they get tackled. He needs to get to his feet and get on with the game, he would get a lot more respect.

Hopefully we'll have big improvement vs Swansea. Steve p will have to open the cheque book this month or we are f***ed simple, we cannot keep playing Kelly he's laughable at fullback!

Arsenal is not the best game to judge us on but some of our players should have a long hard look in the mirror. Edited by The Dolphin (01 Jan 2017 4.41pm) Townsend will make sense when Wilf goes off to AFCON. We need a new Bolasie , a new Soure, and a new Wickham for sure.

The less said about that the better. "If Arsenal sing, we're on the pitch". Our best moment today. Allardyce and Wilf have fallen out already by the look of it. He was giving him major stick. Will be interesting how Wilf handles it. He's been moved to the wrong wing to accommodate Townsend. Beginning of the end I reckon. We look like a shot team at times. Why piss off your best player? Tuesday will be squeaky bum time.

we competed a lot better in the citeh/utd/chelsea games recently abd actually have them a game, or tried to. today we didnt try to attack them at all, wilf being played out of position and looking average under bfcs.

Just got home from the game. An aweful performance! No other comment needed. Looked worse than Man U and Chelsea together. Same substitutes as always. Still one bright light. Chungy look good when he came on.

And playing well, and Murray and Gayle scoring goals. But they struggle in the Premier, they aren't playing against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Utd. That's why they are in the Championship, don't you get it.
