Can't see West Brom allowing him to stay and be sold for nothing next summer and risk losing in the region of £25m for him if sold this summer...that makes absolutely no sense from a business point of view! Nonsense article?

Could it not be that Berahino is trying to force a move? If the bloke is worth £25m and West Brom are refusing to sell him for £20m, then why shouldn't Berahino run his Contract down and then go for a Tribunal fee next year? Why is he being mercenary? He hasn't turned us down so that he can get a big signing on fee at the end of the season.

Hmmm if that ESPN article is true, West Brom are going to look like absolute bellends when he leaves on a free having turned down £20million+ offers for him. I think the 'source' for this story is Berahino's agent trying to push WBA to agree a sale. They surely can't expect to get more than what's offered for him already and he ain't going to sign a new contract. Peace's stance is an odd one. Berahino's not much of an asset with only a year left on his contract and wants to leave.

mercenary because he will be happy to sit on the bench and play no football just so next season he can get more money with a signing on fee

I thought it was West Brom who had rejected the offers?

Imagine your boss was a t***. But the big boss refused all reasonable offers for you to escape - why wouldn't you do what is best for your pocket? If there's anyone being mercenary here it's gotta be West Btom - knocking back bids that met the price requested in the hope of extracting more money. Google definition - primarily concerned with making money at the expense of ethics.

Have we? Have Stoke? If West Brom haven't accepted an offer, then Berahino can't turn one down. Until he does, then your point about him being mercenary is not correct. Yours is not an opinion, it is just a story.
