A drab 0-0 draw this one.
I am going to brighten my morning by having a good, solid 'Eartha'.

Can we have a dedicated Gusset v Himself thread so we don't have to wade through three pages of sniping before getting back to the last post which was actually discussing the topic of the thread?

It's ingrained in your DNA.

Even Labour, yes that's right Labour, are calling the Greens policies 'total madness'! Ahh, the great Tristram Hunt. He's one of the reasons why many many teachers won't vote Labour.
Are you going to defend the Greens educational policy? Failure to do so would imply your agreement, at least in part, with the 'great' Tristram Hunt.
There's lots more, but you won't read it Matt so I won't bother.
Sorry, can't understand that. I showed several ways in which the greens differ from the other parties. That is not dodging the question, that is answering it. BTW. I gave up playing what's the missing word. Can you enlighten us? Whilst I understand typing, writing can be an issue for you and sympathise, my advice to you would be the same as I give to my students. Read it back two or three times before handing in.
With regard to your attempt at an insult, I have had worse insults thrown at me today by people who second language is English. Given your professed hostility to personal insults, something you have accused me of many times on here as a distraction from the point of what is being debated, does this make you a massive hypocrite?
Edited by nickgusset (29 Jan 2015 9.51pm) That's you trying to cover your tracks. Typically Trot tactics. You have provided bland nothings as fact. Please answer the original question. Please defend Green educational policy? By backing up what you mean (I.e., explaining what you mean by 'over testing', not simply stating it as a problem). Why is schooling better started at 7 rather than stating 'studies say this' and instead of a typical 'cunds' rant against academies, explain your opposition to them. Some evidence of research that formal schooling starts too early in this country... [Link] Academies...high staff turnover, poor wages for teachers, lack of accountability... I could go on. Also there is no clear evidence that academies raise standards. [Link] A quick look here gives many examples of research on the negative impact of over testing [Link] Also, I and many of my colleagues have seen first hand the effect of over testing and the impact it has on the curriculum in schools that teach to the test rather than providing an enriching skills based curriculum.
Not so tough, was it Gusset? I will read, digest and respond accordingly. Won't be tonight.
