'We have a lot of fans who live some distance away who cannot make mid week or evening games. It's also half term when some families will have been away on holiday. They've still paid for their season tickets but not actually gone to the match.' Yeah, loads of families go on holiday in the Autumn half term, just 6 weeks after the 6 week Summer holiday and 6 weeks before the 3 week Christmas holiday. There's loads of affordable European Summer holidays and skiing breaks in October/November, hey? We need a Nescafe smilie.

"I find each match i'm leaving earlier and earlier i just love getting on the bus first and watching people still standing in long lines as we pull away, back indoors in 20 minutes! Why the hell would i want to hang round after a game? If they can sort the transport out i would stay longer but not sure they can or want to."

I think over a period of time you will see the big craze of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club disappear with the locals. They're bound to have loads of new fans jump on the bandwagon with a new stadium and the size of the area with no other football clubs nearby. The majority in that area have most probably only ever seen Brighton play at home. I think these empty seats are evidence the plastics would rather be comfy indoors watching it on the sky box. They have the most deluded support I've witnessed, and I'm not just saying that. I read their North Stand Chat and they are so bitter and sour towards us it's unreal. They're not a real hardcore element like we have at Selhurst week in week out, these are families within the Brighton community seeking for entertainment. I know which I'd prefer... Let's just continue to laugh at them as we have done for the past 30 years. Times change, but I just can't ever see us being inferior to them like they have been to us for so long.

Trust me I live in brighton and have done since birth and have been a palace fan since birth as well. It's ridiculous how many "brighton fans" have jumped on the bandwagon I have a s*** load of mates down here but have about 15 close pals and 12 out of these 15 had probably only ever been to no more than 2-3 weed games each in there life some ain't been to one match. Since the mansex was built 12 of my mates have jumped on the plastic band wagon and all got season tickets and all seem to think they are die hard brighton fans even though they are clueless about the real rivaly or history between us and the weeds. When they first started going they were trying to give it the banter about palace and I said why do you hate us then to which they replied er er we just do. Obviously this is now there second season and have obviously googled a little bit of what all the hatred is about but there has never been a greater time to support palace and live down here then at this present moment, I had possibly the most satisfying 10 minutes of my life last night other than the 10 minute free view on television x when I uploaded the league table and the form table and tagged all the plastics in, but suprise suprise no response apart from one who said yer enjoy it while it last u only score pens anyway. There all a bunch of plastics they always argue about the fact that the withdean only had 6,000 so that's why they couldn't have more fans there and the goldstone always was full etc but I would honestly say out of there are at least 15 thousand brighton/ Man U / Liverpool / Chelsea fans Sorry rant over

I'm new to this so don't know how to work quoting over people's posts but wears going up u have no idea how obsessed they are with palace when freedman went to Bolton all my fb friends were tagging status how small minded are palace, freedman is leaving a sinking ship Zaha is off in jan etc its cringing what they are all like, think they need to focus on there own team considering how they are doing ATM. The only thing better they have is there stadium but I would rather be surrounded by wood than plastic and be surrounded by 16 thousand genuine fans than 25 thousand who ain't got a clue
