That's not the "issue" I was referring to. It was the furore that would be sparked in places that are intensely interested in this subject and have been promoting their own opinions on what needs to be done for a long time. These pages being a backwater of an example. The tabloid media being more relevant. So what your saying is we arnt being told the truth because one community will be angry with another community that they were raping their children. So we are affording a community protection!!

Many were described in the government's response to the petition which is earlier in the thread. There may be other steps that aren't been made public but I suspect they would be more concerned about how the criminals are found and prosecuted, rather than the way the victims are supported and protected. I don't know though. We will know. That's the role of the media who I am quite sure will keep a very close eye on what's happening.
