Yes, don't dare question Parish after he saved the club in 2010. I think he needs support running the club. Also I don't fully trust Parish's judgement. This is a man that also hired Burley, Holloway (I know he was in charge when promoted, promotion was more in spite of him than because of him) and Warnock. He saved the club and we are all very grateful, doesn't mean we can't question him. And has managed to get the club into 14th place in the Top English League.

That depends on the reason of leaving..... Could also be a positive sign if the big fish are after your gaffer. Originally posted by BelfastEagle
After all these endless interviews and weeks of research we will be a laughing stock if we end up with another turkey or somebody who leaves after a single season again.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Vote For Your Next Manager' by kenbarr Bring back big Sam. A 3 week retirement long enough.

What have I wished for? The Clowns moaned about league position and challenging for Europe. I've not suggested any of this. I merely want to be able to question Parish's decisions Originally posted by alaneagle1

I thought the dithering Parish was gone after Benteke and some bigger decisions he made recently. Once again though here is dithering anti-Jordan back again. We are now behind on transfers and Southampton will probably now impact our search.

Rumours on Facebook that Parish has made a last-ditch attempt to talk with Ranieri before he accepts the Nantes job ... Surely, after all this time, we've not been reduced to begging Ranieri to take the job? If true, it would seem we've been torpedoed by Southampton entering the market. Those that were so confident that there was loads of time, because we were the only game in town, are looking just a tad foolish now. We should have had this buttoned up and nailed down a week ago.

At the risk of repeating myself I take it everyone understands that Southampton have been looking for a new manager for some time, right? The departure of Puel hasn't exactly arrived out of the blue. Great mind-reading, though, there. Excellent.

Unfortunately you can't force someone to take the job. It's in pellergino or de Boer right to access all their options. This is why we often leave our transfer business to the last 2 weeks of the window. Unfortunately for us, we not at the top of the food chain.

Without doubt they have been looking. I half expected them to announce a manager pretty much straight after the sacking announcement. Originally posted by chateauferret

So you think we've been offering the job around and getting knocked back? It's possible, but we have previous for being the ones who don't seem to know when it's time to stop interviewing and start appointing.

I wonder if Parish was ready to appoint Pellegrino and then received a phone call. Big Sam on the line saying that he's perhaps been a bit hasty in his decision to retire. He was very upset and shaken after the death of his close friend in the Manchester bombing but now that he's starting to get over it, he feels that he may have another year or two in him. Parish pauses for thought ...
