If true, I wouldn't call that 'tough negotiating', but more rank stupidity. We are not in the driving seat on this, everyone knows we're desperate (self-inflicted) and won't cut us much slack; in fact we'll be squeezed for every penny, and that won't just apply to the Benteke deal. If Liverpool don't sell now, they'll just suck it up and try again in January; we haven't got them over a barrel. EXACTLY

I've been a big supporter of Parish over the last 6 years and I believe he's done everything pretty well, up until now! Liverpool want £32.5m for their player not a penny less so why offer £23m plus add ons? Stop f***ing about! If we want the player lets get him if not let's hope there is a plan b!

Without knowing the details of the ' add-ons ', it's hard to say whether Palace are nickel and diming on this or it's Liverpool taking an unrealistic stance by demanding payment in full, although after Saturdays performance, and with 2 non-league signings on our bench, it's obvious that other clubs know that our requirement is urgent. On the face of it, if Palace are prepared to risk £23m on Benteke, what is holding them back from paying the full price ? Net spend on transfer fees so far is £9m without taking into account players wages or the incoming Bolasie and Jedinak funds. So it's not as if the money isn't there. So what is really holding this up ?......

So now people believe what the press are reporting when it suits the agenda to have a good moan.

Are we ever going to get this over the line? I'll say an emphatic NO to this. If the bid reported (23+7) is true, after all this time, then SP is out of his depth and being exposed as an amateur.
Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it.. |

Pretty clear that they won't move from the money they spent to get him. £32.5 million is it, which incidentally is their 3rd most expensive of all time. The offer should of been there if rejected then, then move on.

FFS we are pathetic. Parish is taking the piss now if true. He's gambling our PL status over a few million. If we don't get a few quality players in we are f***ED!!!

Arrrrrrgggggggggggggggggg !!! This is like slow torcher, just pay up, it's clear we are not going to be able to scrimp on this, stop faffing about and just cough up the money ... With the Bolasie deal completed we have £25 extra mil I top of what we were originally bidding, so just pay .. Or at least go £29 mil up front with some add ons ..

It's certainly an unusual negotiating ploy, offer less money each time ? Hopefully we can at last draw a line under this and for gods sake move on.

This club of mine constantly tests my loyalty but I as do many other fans never falter or crumble My loyalty to the Palace will never waver My unadulterated passion for a club I’ve grown up supporting wont die, and my desire to keep coming back and take the blows won’t succumb to negativity |
