In the context of what I posted it is worth saying. While the club were aware that they might part company with either player, it wasn't anticipated that both would go. I think the search for AWB's replacement had more emphasis at the time although it remains unresolved.

I'm not saying he's probably going - I don't know any more about that than you do.[/quote]

Nor does anyone else on this thread as far as I can make out!

Spot on

It was always going to be both AWB and Wilf leaving or neither this season. Once AWB had the go ahead the die was cast. Try to regroup/restructure the squad this season. COYP !!

People seem to forget that neither Zaha nor AWB were in the team in the 2012/ 13 season, our first in the EPL. To say the team will be relegated without Zaha is rubbish. It is a question of getting the right replacements and adjusting the playing style which an experienced manager like Hodgson is quite capable off.

Think you may have your dates wrong , we did not come up till 2013.

And the table sometimes does lie. We scraped by after a very poor start and a lucky win at Hull then Pullis coming in.
Not saying we are certain to go down without Wilf, but would not think we comfortably stay up unless we invest the incoming money wisely.

Is Wilfred even training with the team?
I have not seen anything to suggest that he is, and RH's comments seems to suggest he has not returned to work.
