It wasn’t me who suggested the 99% survival rate! I just extrapolated the result.

But it was a false equivalence.

Ah, another conspiracy theory.

Not yet. Just a question, but with election interference now rife and cyber warfare more effective at attacking the soft underbelly of western democracy you have to wonder.

It wasn’t compared by me to anything. You did that.

More likely the mouthpiece. He was after all the responsible Minister. Jim Hacker usually did what Sir Humphrey thought. Whether he realised it or not.

Nevertheless. He said it so must bear responsibility otherwise this mantra about MPs taking decisions for us actually means civil servants taking decisions and we can't vote for them.

To point out how ridiculous the claim was.

Mark Steyn and “excellent” are not words that sit comfortably together, in too many places.

He has a somewhat checkered reputation.

If you believe that then perhaps you ought to direct your comments to the poster who claimed it.

The claim was that 99% of those who caught Covid recovered. Not that 1% of the population were going to die.

Please explain the difference?

Teddy Eagle just in case you were wondering. The UK mortality rate was 0.9%

[Link]

Obviously we now know that death by covid was greatly over exagerated. Even falling off a ladder or being hit by a bus once you had a "positive" test you died from covid.

I would say that would be be closer to 0.4/5 in anycase that still leaves a over 99% survival rate.

It seemed the younger population had every risk in taking the vaccine and no benefits.

The vast majority of those unfortunate people who died were in vulnerable sectors. They couldn't die again so the figures would have changed and wouldn't have totalled 1% of the population.

I am unaware of any dictionary changes although am that the CDC has expanded its description to include the new ways of producing them.

The Covid vaccines are indeed vaccines. They stimulate a response in the immune system.

AZ have done a wonderful job and saved millions of lives but now there are better alternatives. So it makes commercial sense for them to cease production. Anyone who has genuinely suffered from a side effect has been very unlucky and ought to be properly compensated. Unfortunately that requires a lot of investigation to determine not just an effect but the cause. Those jumping to conclusions and assuming that this means that not only that these side effects not rare but are caused by every vaccine are doing serious harm to the future health of all of the people by undermining confidence. The anti-vax lobby is a cancer in society, eating away at us and destroying us from the inside. So much so I question who is funding it.

Anyone, not just on these boards but also in the public eye, who questioned how they can make something SAFE for human consumption in only 10 months, was discredited and demonised by you.

It's out in the open finally, that those that questioned were right to do so. They weren't doing it out of hate, on the contrary, they did it because their compassion and empathy for humanity compelled them to.

You think you can just carry on pushing your drivel?
You disgust me.
