NATIONAL UNION OF TEACHERS
EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES EMPLOYMENT MONITORING FORM

It is the NUT’s policy to employ the best qualified person for the job advertised and to provide equality of opportunity to all. In order that we can monitor the effectiveness of our Equal Opportunities Employment Policy and to ensure that we meet our obligations please would you complete the details requested below.

This sheet will be detached from your application form as soon as we receive it.

The information you supply will be used only for monitoring purposes and will remain strictly confidential and is not a requirement of application.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this form.

Now to me, looking at this, equal opps questionnaires are for monitoring purposes, confidential and not compulsory.

A whole world away from (to my mind anyway) the Tory's plan for weeding out foreigners.

And there you have to your mind anyway.

First of all I do not get my thoughts from the papers,I tend to formally my own opinions.
And to me that is the biggest problem with you and the left in general,if someone raises the concern of high immigration then it's thrown all out of proportion like yup have just done.
Back to the fifties no blacks dogs or Irish, what a complete load of tosh.
And then you say we should deal with the real issues of immigration...yet when someone says they are going to try and address it you and your lot pass your pants.
If you have say (just an example before you have another hissy fit) six eastern Europeans all working group for the living wage, and they rent a house.that's five incomes going into the rent and household bills.
Now that's fine they are working their nuts off doing so,not a problem, but a young couple could not afford to rent that house because 2 incomes would not be enough.
But the companies are quite happy with this because 1,they can keep the wages as low as possible, and 2, they know there is an endless supply of migrants to staff their businesses.
.

Opinions are not formed in a vacuum.

Wouldn't building more affordable houses help?

Shouldn't the companies be prosecuted for not paying a living wage? If they paid a living wage, more Brits would be prepared to work for the companies thus negating the need for migrants and ridding us of unscrupulous gangmasters?

I notice that you haven't responded to any other points in corbyns speech, just called something tosh without really expanding.

To see the make up of the workforce.
Let me tell you a little tale about my partners son in law.
He's 27 and a bloody hard worker,he got made redundant from a job,was out of work for a week, all the time searching the Internet for work.
Found a job making picture frames and loved it,very very busy firm 75% Polish work force including the manageress. After Xmas 2 years ago said manageress came into the factory and said she had to make 25 people redundant.guess what all none poles were got rid of (including James).hey how he found another job within a week (I put him in contact with a mate of mine) and now he's a window fitters and doing very well.
Anyway the company that made him redundant have never stopped ringing get hmm and texting him wanting him back.
If that's the case why did they let him go in the first place.
Not being racist before you jump on me,just telling a story.

Yes I agree we should build more social housing lots more.
And yes the companies should, but if you read what I wrote then when they have an endless supply of migrants they won't....which brings us back to the original point.
When is enough enough.

This is such a ridiculous argument. There can never be enough houses if we continue to let immigrants flood into the country at the current rate.Even if we stopped all immigration now. the housing shortage would take ages to fix.

Wages are determined by the amount of work force available and how much they will work for to a large degree. The Tories have already increased the minimum wage to far more than Labour ever did by the way.

In short. The best way to increase wages and ease the housing crisis is to cut immigration to a trickle.

Glad he got a job so quickly. But was he or the Polish workers exploited?

What about doing something about 500000 + empty houses in the UK?

If they are owned by people who have bought them/mortgage them then they are theirs to do what they want.
Doesn't mean I agree with it but there you go.
