Not the first time you've posted this with sod all evidence. What do you see as 'controlling'? Sam got more or less what he wanted, Pardew too (plus far more time & backing than his performance warranted) & Pulis has been proven as a money-grabbing liar. Where's the control? The fact that it has been reported that Ranieri had been interviewed but we decided not to offer him the job (& possibly the same with de Boer) should tell you that SP is simply trying to ensure the best outcome for the Club. How do you think Saints fans should feel? Their board should've sacked Puel weeks ago as it would be a real shock if they didn't know they were going to do it - now they are in a market where they are up against it time wise so will either have a very short pre-season or risk making a rash decision. Yes, I have explained this before it comes from a very close friend of SP who I had dinner with a couple of years ago now at a Devon Yacht Club, who said quiet clearly that was his problem, I think that is quiet good evidence! then you add in the problem with Pulis who clearly did have the freedom and budget to develop the team and the fact that he would not get rid of Pardew when he should have done so after the Cup final, who know maybe this is why others seem uninterested there is no smoke without fire, if you think Soton should have sacked Puel weeks ago then no doubt you also agree Pardew should have been sacked months before SP finally got round to it! `

What manager in his right mind would want to work for a board that takes THIS long to doing anything? I'd be off to Southampton in a shot. And FMD how long will it take to get the ok to buy players like Sahko? I can see another pre-season down the drain, another fractured and unconfident team, another dice will relegation, another p1issed-off manager and more unecessary drama. FMD it's like picking a new Pope! Excruciatingly slow and anal boardroom shenanigans, unprofessional sucker-stuff. Don't tell me this is good for club morale because it f@ckin aint!

The chance of signing m.sakho disappeared when Sam resigned. Although he done great things for us. He was signed by Sam. Not the new manager. Who's likely to have his own ideas on the squad.

And now that we've wasted so much time dithering we'll now have to wait weeks? for Southampton to decide who from OUR list of candidates they want. Only at Palace.

If he takes the Saints job and genuinely was in play for us then it serves Parish right for sitting around with his thumb up his arse. It's been over three weeks since Allardyce left. I suspect Saints take a fraction of the time we take to appoint somebody. Is this true ?

Hope we don't go for puel. 17 goals in 19 games home games. Remember when Birmingham went for Bruce, to spike them we choose Trevor Francis.

The difference between us and Southampton is that their manager didn't resign.

Don't know why, but I think they'll go for Tuchel. We don't seem to have shown at lot of interest in him ourselves from what's come out of the rumour mill. Whoever Saints choose, you can bet it will be announced inside a week, even by next Monday.

Look folks, it is NOT a big preseason ANYWAY. Sam left early and we could have had a decent manager at the helm even while players and staff were enjoying holidays. There is a lot to learn for the incumbent manager, which could have been done in a relaxed atmosphere over the holiday break. In 8 weeks the whistle blows dear friends against Huddersfield. The new manager is looking at less than that to study the club and players and to put in place a schedule to prepare and unite a competitive team for the PL. THAT is F@CKING PRESSURE! Pressure on the manager, the squad, the staff, the recruiting staff, EVERYBODY! Why the F@CK do you think Sam left nice and early in the first place? Yeh...So the board could take half the pre-season in getting a replacement? F@CK OFF!
