The US Congressional hearings are turning up some pretty devastating evidence linking Trump directly to the violence. Today, a WH insider testified that Trump knew some rioters were armed and made no attempt to stop them. Prior to this, some senior lawyers had testified they had repeatedly counselled Trump that his claims of election fraud had no factual basis and had threatened to resign en-masse when Trump attempted to install a new AJ, with no experience, who would comply. This guy has refused to testify, but had his house raided by the FBI. Bill Barr said Trump was detached from reality. 5 members of Congress requested pardons to protect them from prosecution for their involvement in the scheme.

Today's evidence could be the tipping point.

I'm not talking about people selling eyeliner mate as you well know. You are making equivalence of social media influencers and people who head organisations with real transnational geopolitical power.

Perhaps because that's not what is under investigation!

If Congress thought an investigation into such events was necessary, then doubtless they would set one up. If the GOP take control of the House after the mid-terms then they may well be pushed to do so.

However, investigating the causes of the protests which turned into riots, along with the exploitation of them by criminals and the response by the authorities, would doubtless lay to rest some of the myths which have been built up around them. So they might be reticent. The myths are more politically useful than a detailed investigation.

Whatever might be revealed over such events, it is completely insignificant to the idea of a sitting President attempting to usurp democracy and facing the prospect of prosecution and jail time.

And this is the reason no one cares a Judge actually dismissed some of the Trump allegations (guessing you kinda forgot to mention that?) because the judge basically said that the BLM riots of last years were given a free hand with absolutely no investigations.
