Not the first time you've posted this with sod all evidence. What do you see as 'controlling'?

Sam got more or less what he wanted, Pardew too (plus far more time & backing than his performance warranted) & Pulis has been proven as a money-grabbing liar. Where's the control?

The fact that it has been reported that Ranieri had been interviewed but we decided not to offer him the job (& possibly the same with de Boer) should tell you that SP is simply trying to ensure the best outcome for the Club.

How do you think Saints fans should feel? Their board should've sacked Puel weeks ago as it would be a real shock if they didn't know they were going to do it - now they are in a market where they are up against it time wise so will either have a very short pre-season or risk making a rash decision.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

If Pellegrino is offered the Saints job he will take it. They have a new ground and training facilities second to none

If he takes the Saints job and genuinely was in play for us then it serves Parish right for sitting around with his thumb up his arse. It's been over three weeks since Allardyce left. I suspect Saints take a fraction of the time we take to appoint somebody.

Given that it's been pretty obvious Puel has been on his way for weeks, I suspect they might have been looking even before SA resigned unexpectedly.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

Unless they decided not to sack Puel until they had his replacement lined up

However you slice it, Southampton in the manager-market is bad news for us, particularly if they're interested in our target (if we've actually got one yet). It will end with one less name in the frame as they will always be ahead of us when recruiting. No doubt there will be further delays whilst we consider Puel, along with whatever other names are being mulled over. Just over two weeks to pre-season and counting.

There are loads of great managers out there. If GrinO has been stalling us for the Saints job...all good. Galtier, de Boer, Dyche, Nagelsmann. I trust Parish 100% to get a really good manager. He deliberates using what he judges to be the available time. He doesn't dither.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Not trying to be disrespectful to our Chairman but how do you know?

It's unknowable. But dithering can be the right thing to do sometimes.
I'm hiring right now for a role in my team it's been open for a couple of months which far from ideal but for various reasons none of the candidates have won us over. Should I hire someone for whom I have misgivings?

If he's not certain that 'grino or dyche is the right choice then looking at the other candidates makes sense considering the importance of the decision.

I do hope he gets off the pot soon though!

It's more a question of semantics; one man's "deliberation" is another man's "dithering". But, for the sake of our preparations, we now need to make a decision.

If grino was stalling for the saints job then surely it is best that we haven't got in early and secured him.
The last thing we want is a manager who regrets coming.

I suspect that the Saints are after a bigger haddock than Pellegrino and Tuchel is much more likely, if he wants it.
