Poorer are better off and in an interview last week they stated that it has improved every year since 2009. There's a variety of reasons for it but the bottom line is that it is improving

Of course its not - the Chancellor Osborne admits his policies favoured the rich at the expense of the poor. Stop sending links to right wing rags - have a brain of your own.

Whatever the stats are (and the Cameron government rejigged the child poverty ones in a way that resulted in a seemingly but not necessarily actual downwards trend),child poverty remains a sad comment on what we as a society (and through our votes elected governments) don't even begin to try to really address. As Dr Barnado's (hardly a left wing instituition) says: "There are currently 3.7 million children living in poverty in the UK. That’s over a quarter of all children. 1.7 million of these children are living in severe poverty. . In the UK 63% of children living in poverty are in a family where someone works. These child poverty statistics and facts will help to give you an idea of the scale of child poverty in the UK and the affect it can have on: a child's education

Poverty and hunger worldwide are falling at unprecedentedly fast rates. Good line in the link below: "Although capitalism is very good at advertising soap powder, cars and computers, it is very bad at selling itself".
The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. |

Is he not allowed to take a few days off whilst parliament is away? Yes there was the summer, but he was a bit busy then.

No one is even listening to Labour any more, we've got a one party state.
