Woke as you lot on here describe it will die the moment the redtops and right wing think tanks give you more red meat to gnaw on. But the true meaning of being woke which is being emphatic and aware of social inequality and wanting to be active in helping to change things. If anything, it will only get stronger with each new generation that comes along. That's not in anyway a battle cry or an invite for a pile on to tell me I'm wrong. Just my opinion.

Woke's chosen 'victims'
- women
- black & other ethnic minorities ( Muslims )
- LGBT

AND what about these other 'victims' ? those ignored by Woke.

- the elderly
- the sick
- the neuro-diverse
- Persecuted Christians & Jews in Muslim countries
- the disabled
- the invisibly sick ( asthma, diabetes, etc)

There is absolutely zero moral high-ground with Woke. For the chosen victims of Woke, i can cite many millionaires. JK Rowling, Raheem Sterling, Elton John. Female, black, LGBT....not exactly victims, are they ?

You need to understand that Woke isn’t an intended movement. It is just evolution in motion.
It’s been weaponised and made a movement by those who don’t agree with the notion of being a decent human being for whatever reason(trauma is the reason)
There are no chosen victims. Just victims. A kind hearted person will try to help anyone who is in need of help.regardless of who they are and where they come from. That’s just human nature. You can try to smother that and say it is wrong as much as you want. But you’ll never succeed in killing off what is good and right about being a human being.

If woke were hippies with a social conscience then while there may be disagreement there wouldn't be much discord.

However, what you portray here isn't the reality that's clearly being shown in the thread examples.

Being kind to others is one thing....in general few people have a problem with politeness.

However, being told to accept and endorse someone else's social and political perspectives isn't kindness....it isn't politeness....it's the opposite. When social conservativism ruled this land you were still allowed to be a communist and work....There were no activists going around trying to get people sacked and writing letters.....Now that's kindness and politeness....but that's not what 'woke' is selling is it.....Now all of a sudden 'hate and division' is fine.

They aren't interested in a marketplace of ideas because they have closed their stalls.

Being told you have to accept and endorse children being taught about homosexuality isn't politeness it's forced political dogma.

Being told that being white means you're various degrees of evil, isn't politeness or kindness it's forced political dogma.

Being told you have to accept and endorse people telling you they are cats or a different sex or other mental construct they want to believe in....that isn't politeness or kindness it's forced political dogma.

People are sacked and refused jobs because they have different political positions.....that isn't kindness....that's political dogma dressed up with warm words.

Unfortunately the culture war has forced most people into positions that are extreme takes on their default position. Which is b*lls*** when you think about. I'm sure most of us would all just like to get along and go back to how things were before all this nonsene.But the thought of losing ground in the culture war is too much for most to bare, so there are unsavory plays and moves from both sides of the fence to try to gain some ground and get points across. It's all rather pointless in the grand scheme of things as neither side is ever going to cede any ground to the other. The best thing that we can hope for is for some politicians to come along that enthuse the centre ground and give cause to optimism in a way not seen for years. And then just hope that both extremities just fade into the background again and we can all get on with living a normal existnce again. Because Woke only exists because of the lurch to far right and vice versa.

The right is rising to counter the lunacy of woke and the contempt that the far left and the liberal elite has for its own people.
