How, if they are really starting demolishing the old stand immediately, are they going to cope with the boxing event? Surely, they will need all available seating AND the catering and box facilities?

The seating is gonna stay as they build the new stand over it as much as they can, a bit like Liverpool did with their new stand (the one with the dugouts). That's how people have been able to renew their season tickets too.

A skip has been delivered this morning, so the start is imminent. That was to make Everton feel at home when they visit.

As I understand it, the later work which would need the stand to be closed will be done in the Summer and might encroach into the first few games of the following season which we will request to be played away from home.

Same architect? Yep. But fortunately not the same construction company as they went bust and that's why L'pool's stand behind the goal took so long to be finished and Fulham have half their new stand still empty!

Is this really happening at last? There's no update on the club website, which is surprising considering the importance and impact the new stand will have for fans and our club image generally. Does anyone know more about the status, design (eg has it changed since the original) and development plans they can share with us? Although I can no longer attend matches I remain very interested in all things Palace so, just asking.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Would be nice if we could offer a little prize/incentive to the first person to spot any sign of something happening.

If it was happening this summer work should have started . As SP said there needs to be some prep work under the stand along with changing rooms being moved to under the Holmesdale . Next year , maybe .
