Did I hear that Thierry Henry has recently refused a job offer. could he be tempted by a pool of French speaking players (some eligible to play for France) to further his career. CPFC could offer him a trial, with permanent option.

If we hire someone who kept us up for 4 years on the bounce with a squad that had no right to be in the PL, for 11 games, to ensure survival, so we can regroup in the summer, you’ll give up your season ticket. Goodbye then. Our fan base is honestly absurd at times.

Rest assured normal service will be resumed on HOL on my return! Hope you're having a relaxing cruise! Your long suffering Mrs. Willo has had to endure numerous dinner cancellations after Palace losses. Recharge your batteries, and get ready for the relegation battle to come.

It would be such a backward step for the club and I don’t believe his tactics would help whatsoever. Ignore the bellicose from some quarters who have very short memories of the dire football we had to endure for at least 50% of his tenure.

I’m forever grateful for what Roy Hodgson done for this club. An impeccable gentleman, nice guy and good manager for us at the time. 1. For his sake I don’t want him to come back and tarnish his reputation by possibly being the manager in charge if we go down. I think he got away with Watford as they were as good as down when he took over, and it’s a basket case of a club. Thinking about it, this squad needs such a overhaul that I think we have to consider that we may well go down because we went into this season poorly prepared and there is now nothing that can be done to stop that. Get in a manager, who will stick around no matter what division we are in and let him have more input In recruitment and support him. Exactly what we should have done with Vieira. No point having a putting a plaster on it attitude anymore. If the board isn’t prepared or can’t afford to invest in the squad, consider that going down, regrouping and planning coming back better prepared may be what we will have to do. We have papered over the cracks for too long.

A fresh manager can often inspire the team, maybe a temporary thing but that's all we need right now. I seriously can't see Roy doing that. A retrograde step, which I actually dread.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

IMO turning this around is a much bigger task than a lot of us are pretending. Running stats suggest the players may not even be fit

No doubt Roy has maintained a good relationship with the club but I hope talk of him being seen at the game recently were more in an advisory capacity (A kind of sounding board) rather then talk of returning At that last game against Watford Roy looked decidedly unwell - none of us are getting any younger - Just a few thoughts - That article shared on here from the Athletic was very well informed & published very quickly after the event, almost as if its contents were deliberately leaked into the public domain to pre-empt any backlash. So far, as far as I have seen, Roy hasn't publicly said he is or isn't interested in the role, even if it was just until the end of the season - Alternatively - it could also be said that if the board knew they would be voting on such an important issue & the vote would likely end up requiring a manager change Roy could have been briefed to the point he was already waiting in the wings (with Ray Lewington by his side) to take over yesterday morning - IDK - It could be something as simple as Roy already had plans for the weekend & he didn't want to upset the wife ? (lol) Talk about me adding 2+2 and getting 5

I agree as well. 11 of us season ticket’s before Hodgson most for 20 years plus. After four seasons of that sh*t there was only 3 left, and those 3 btw are now considering fvcking it off as well. Not really the way to run a business eh.
