Well with his comments he has officially cut any chance of winning over Palace fans. A fantastic end to the season for us, a really promising outlook, and he starts raving about another club. He can bugger off as far as I'm concerned. Thank God we have Parish.

For me, our ownership is a major worry. Why always us? We need just one rich owner - not whatever we have these days. I don't see how Textor is going to pay for Everton with a new ground. It's surely maybe 700mil to a billion. Whereas I can't see his shares in us being worth anymore than 150-200 mil. These are just figures off the top of my head so not exactly scientific. I would think he'd have to sell the French club too. Or debt them and us up to the hilt. This could well be a Textor ruse to put the wind up the other owners. Everon had one rich oener so that is no guarantee of success, especially there are now finacial constraints. Good income allied to aen excellent sporting directoe and manager/coach are key and, thankfully, we have the latter two, at least

Well, I've always suspected the Textor wasn't in it for the long haul and, if it's true that he wants to sell, I'll be pleased to see him go. Although I then become nervous about who might buy his 45% share. Maybe Simon Jordan could make it up with Mr Parish and come back into the fold. Sparks would fly.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Shrewd move by him. Given our end to the season, now is the ideal time to offload the investment. We are being seen as "on the up", and will probably be seen as a good team to buy into now.

I am worried if this proves to be true. Glasner is his manager and was brought to club by him.I think this is more about voting rights than him actually wanting to go. Currently the other 2 yanks are content with SP managing the direction of club. Textor was unhappy at way SP voted on issue of multiple club ownership and that for him is a major issue.

Could the motivation to go public in this way be in part because his stake at this point is potentially worth more than it ever has been given our form and potential? Or is that only pennies' worth?
I ain't got nuthin' funny to say. Sorry. |

Textor is a serial fiddler and flip flops all over the place. Glad he wants to cash in his chips….

A great time to sell when he is very clear that Palace is not a good fit for him being an 'independent' club and he wants one he can move players in and out of at will to and from his other clubs. He'll hope by being so public to help attract as many potential buyers as possible.
