Great to see Potterball's Brighton maintaining their losing run,and wonderful to see us above them in the league.

We needed a point from our last two away games or Oldham had to win their 3 games. But you’re right, once we failed at city and Oldham had won twice, I think we all went to Arsenal expecting the worst. Especially knowing Wrighty was bound to score. Just had to prey Southampton could do us a favour I was there too. We knew Arsenal would win and Wrighty would score (but not that he would kiss his shirt.) The true agony was Oldham going 4-1 up and Southampton clawing it back to 4-3. In the last moments Southampton had a 100% pen shout turned down (and le Tiss would have scored). When I saw the replays I could not fathom why the ref, one Howard King, had not given it - unless the moment was simply too big him and he bottled the shout that would have sent Oldham down. I vaguely remember, obviously before the internet and mobile phones our end celebrating because one of those fake rumours going round that Southampton were actually winning!!

With Brentford winning today, the bottom 5 are being cut adrift.

Watched MOTD how did that Brighton goalkeeper not get sent off? Anyway I enjoyed their 5th consecutive defeat, still an outside chance they will go down.
