What a ridiculous post. There is no comparison between previous migrations and the current masses. Even so, crime and immigration has always been linked going back hundreds of years. Only a fool would deny that. You accuse others of what you have persistently done yourself, since you started giving us all the benefit of your dubious wisdom. Why is there no comparison between previous large groups of immigrants that entered Britain and the groups that you are focus on? What evidence is there that crime and immigration have been linked for hundreds of years? This post suggests that in the case of the Huguenot they pretty much only brought benefits to Britain.

I see that you want to draw a convenient line as to when the mass migrations that worries you begin. The 40,000 and 50,000 Huguenots that came to Britain between 1670 to 1710 or the 150,000 Jews that settled in Britain from the late 19th century until the early 20th century are of no concern to you? I understand that you want to start your argument with the arrival of the Empire Windrush in 1948? What you describe as 'waffle' is just information that you find difficult to deal with. The logic of your argument is shot to pieces if you resort to rubbish such as, "often correlation is the cause". This means nothing and I am pretty sure that you know it. Correlation with what? You going to have to sort yourself out regarding statistical methodology if you want to pursue this root. I used the home office's own statistics and quoted the home office words which stated the increase.....roughly double the rate from the sixties. I don't know how clearer that can be. As for you comparing 50, 000 Europeans over a 40 year period to today where two times that come in every year many from vastly different cultures....When the numbers are in the many millions that have settled here since WW2. I don't think I can take your responses seriously now. I've started listening to the 'fall of Rome' book and so far even it's not making your original commentary that immigration played no part look very credible. I think for my part I'd like to end it here as I don't think this is very productive. Edited by Stirlingsays (13 Sep 2021 10.01pm)

Someone who is a regular on here is going to have to help me out with Palazio Vecchio. I cannot believe that he is as stupid as he appears from his posts. I can only conclude that he has taken on this comic persona for the laughs.

You show correlation, but you do not show causality. Is very very simple. You could say that the Beatles became popular in the 1960s and crime when up, therefore the Beatles caused an increase in crime. This is what you are doing. I know this is going to hurt you terribly but I don't think I can take your responses seriously either. Glad that you are enjoying the book. I gave mine away so I don't have it to hand. Did you download it to a Kindel? I might go back and read it again. Anyway, I am sure this is not so much adieu as au revoir.

My British passport allows me to visit many countries, the majority of them without a visa. But if you have a different passport, you might not be so lucky. How is this fair? Fortunately this problem is not going away and there is nothing that can really be done. Thousands of ppl
