Did that email just come out of the blue or was in response to one you sent? If the latter, what did you say in your email? This issuing of plastic cards is becoming increasingly random. We now know that if they don't have your email address you'll get a card; if you're under 16 you'll get one; and if you're eritheagle you'll get one! Please may I have one?

I’d sent them an email sometime ago explaining I didn’t have a smartphone.
It was said on here or the BBS sometime ago that if you are in a similar position to myself and others than it is recommended to send the box office an email titled ‘no smartphone’ Hope that helps.

I don’t appreciate how you name checked me like that. All I did was inform the box office and they helped me accordingly.

First, thanks for your reply. Sounds very straightforward.

As for mentioning your name, it was intended to be just a light-hearted throwaway line - certainly not suggesting that you'd received favourable treatment.
Apologies for any offence caused (as they say).

No probs, thanks for explaining what you meant.
Hope you get sorted and manage to get a card too.

I've finally got my season ticket on my phone and thought I'd share what I needed to do to get it on Android, in case it helps anyone having issues.

Problem is that the club has made a sh!t ton of assumptions about people's phone and what they have set up. Prior to this I did not use Google Pay (why bother, I have a cash card?) and a host of other things, so here's what I had to do:

Install the Palace App
Enable NFC on your phone (not sure this is necessary in all honesty for getting the season ticket on your phone, but you will need it enabled on match day)
Install Google Pay
Install Chrome on your phone
Set Chrome as your default browser (Settings --> Apps --> Advanced --> Default Apps --> Browser)
Sign into your Google Account in Chrome
Open the Palace App and sign in
Link your season ticket
If it doesn't download to Google pay or like me you tried to add it before the Spurs game when they suspended it and got stuck with it in the app but not Google Pay, click on More (in the bottom right of the App) --> Memberships --> Access Fan Wallet --> Add to Google Pay

If you've done the above then it should download and you'll see it in the Google Pay app. The reason for all the Chrome nonsense is that if your default browser is say Samsung Internet, it just fails with a message from Google Pay saying "this item cannot be saved on this device". As the app is opening a web site in a browser to add the season ticket in Google Pay, apparently it has to go via Chrome (presumably for security) as signing into Google on Samsung Internet doesn't seem to be enough.

What a parlava! Someone somewhere has done no due diligence on providing instructions that don't fit the "golden path" (come on, that has to be a set up for German p*** jokes) of getting this installed and sorted out.

Hope this helps someone!

Thank you snapper I can now see it in Googlepay. much appreciated. very frustrating the whole thing.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Thankyou So much for this, my missing link was assuming that Chrome was my default browser, I mean, I always use Chrome and the other browsers have been disabled, but not the case. Season Ticket finally downloaded, why couldn't the club post a step by step like this? I'm reasonably Tech savvy, but was flummoxed by this.
Much appreciated

I've just received an email telling me that my Membership Pack will soon be on its way. Great! - except that I've never in my long life been a Member. But I look forward to finding out what's in it!

Happy to say that after visiting Club shop last week and pointing out that as a senior and no smart phone my new plastic season ticket for the rest of the season arrived in the post today. Hooray.

I’m pleased to report that I received an email from the Box Office yesterday. They know that I don’t own a smartphone and are therefore sending me a plastic card in the post which should arrive in plenty of time before the Br&ght@n game.

I’m happy they are doing this for me but I regret the worrying that the whole episode has caused me and others.

Well, my optimism seems to have been very premature!
Still awaiting the delivery of my season ticket card that is arriving in ‘plenty of time for the Br!ght)n game’!

Emailed them yesterday but awaiting a response.
Hopefully the postman will deliver it before I leave for work on Monday if not I’ll have to queue up at the Box Office before kick off.

Stress levels are rising again! Can’t they get anything right?!

Part of me is saying to just stay at home and watch the game and then tell them that they owe me money for my ticket!

Seriously p1ssed off with this club of ours!

I absolutely agree. Part of the enjoyment is receiving tickets well in advance looking forward to the game. However, the stress of trying to obtain a ticket is ridiculous.

Following our brief exchange of emails a few days ago I emailed the Club about having no smartphone, and within forty eight hours I'd had two replies, one promising an e-ticket and the other a plastic ticket. By 11 o'clock this morning neither had arrived, so I drove over, and the Box Office printed off a paper ticket. So I can now relax, but what a palaver. The Box Office, by the way, was empty when I arrived.
