At least 1 High Street retailer knew about the plans.

Wrong thred, that said if these clubs need this to survive maybe they should cut the cloth accordingly. I’d like palace to sign Neymar etc but we’d be a billion in debt before you knew it!

This wouldn’t have anything to do with the above?
Looks like someone put a £10 on him yesterday. If your not careful Dazza you might become quoted as a source close to the club on click bait articles!

Think you got your threads mixed up Lefty

Let them just f*** off. If I had my time over again, I would probably ignore football altogether.

I love Palace. Am fully emotionally invested in the club, its fans, its identity and everything that goes with it. But that does not mean I like football nor care about it, let alone have to buy into this BS about FIFA or UEFA or the Premier League being the 'good' guys. All they are worried about is that they are losing control of the Goose that s***s them the golden eggs. Nothing to do with supporters or the wider culture of the game.

Post of the century. Amen sir.

I wonder if Ashley was involved?

Minion ""Mike it's the ESL group on the phone".

Mike "Fantastic, hello it's Mike Ashley are you calling to invite Newcastle to join?"

ESL "Err actually we were wondering if you like to flog our shirts, we'll get back to you about Newcastle".

I suspect involving Ashley was way down their list!

According to the Telegraph (subscription only) The PL has decided to abandon it's auction process for the next TV contracts and instead will negotiate directly with Sky, BT and Amazon.

I assume that they think there will not be a scramble by other parties so better to not upset their existing partners.

Let's see what kind of a deal it will be I suspect the same or less money.

Me too. I couldn't care less about football in general either and don't watch any match that Palace isn't involved in, even England games.

If a European Super League ever came about and was funded by Sky I would cancel my subscription to Sky Sports and watch Palace on illegal streams only

Seems likely or they didn’t want to deal with those outlets that were going to cover ESL
